What a day The Wellington Arms

An outdoor ceremony, beautiful summer light and a dance floor that definitely didn’t disappoint. This was one of those weddings that had such a relaxed feel from start to finish exactly the kind of day I love photographing.

We even managed to sneak outside during golden hour for some portraits before heading straight back in for the party.

Ellie & Nick

Definitely not your typical wedding… and that’s exactly why I loved it.

Nick & Ellie celebrated at The Departure Lounge in Alton, and this one had personality absolutely everywhere. Bold colours, disco balls, incredible details and even a tattoo artist on hand with Nick and Ellie getting fresh ink on their actual wedding day.

And then there was FARA, bringing a bit of Scotland to the celebrations and making the day feel even more personal.

This is exactly the sort of wedding I love photographing. Forget what a wedding is supposed to look like make it about you, fill it with the things you love and have a bloody good time doing it.

Nick & Ellie absolutely nailed that. ❤️

A little preview of where they’ll soon be saying “I do”

Victoria & Jon’s pre-wedding shoot at the beautiful Cogges Manor Farm the same place they’ll be coming back to for their wedding day.

We spent the afternoon wandering around the grounds, through the gardens and orchards, getting them comfortable in front of the camera and exploring some of the spots we can use when the big day arrives.

We even made a couple of new friends along the way…

This is exactly why I love pre-wedding shoots. Nothing forced or overly posed — just a chance to relax, have a laugh and get used to having me tagging along with a camera before the wedding.

Next time we’re here, they’ll be getting married. 🤍

A proper New Forest wedding

A beautiful day at Minstead Lodge, tucked away in the heart of the New Forest. An outdoor ceremony, stunning grounds and plenty of little moments happening throughout the day.

And when there’s an F-Type involved, it would’ve been rude not to get it into a few photos.

This is exactly why I love photographing weddings documentary-style capturing the day as it actually felt, while still making the most of an incredible venue like this.

Golden hour, sandy feet and a rugby ball 🏉🌅

Georgie & Kayleigh’s pre-wedding shoot was exactly how I love these sessions to be relaxed, natural and just the two of them being themselves.

No awkward posing. No pressure. Just a wander along the beach, plenty of laughs and, of course, a rugby ball making an appearance. 😂🏉

Cannot wait to photograph these two on the wedding day! 🤍

WEDDING....

Every wedding has a story behind it, but this one really stayed with me.

Sarah & Paul actually found my work through TikTok, and when I met them and heard their story, I knew their wedding was going to be a special one to photograph.

They’d both been through incredibly difficult periods in their lives and had each gone through rehab. Somewhere in that journey of rebuilding their lives, they found each other.

Fast forward to this day… surrounded by the people they love, throwing confetti, laughing, celebrating and officially becoming husband and wife. 🥹

It’s easy to look at wedding photographs and just see the beautiful venue, the dress, the flowers and all the little details.

But sometimes there’s so much more behind those photographs.

For Sarah & Paul, they represent how far they’ve both come, the life they’ve built together and the start of another chapter.

An absolute privilege to document this one. ❤️

PRE-WEDDING....

A first time for this couple to be in front of the camera and help build their confidence in time for their big day in December in India. They also brought down their family and had some family photos together as it is rare for them to visit the UK.

The shoot helped build their confidence in front of the camera and as always by the end of it they loved it.
