Today, 9th July 2026, Merchant Navy 35028 CLAN LINE will set out from Weymouth for Waterloo in a tribute to No. 35030's identical run 59 years before when it worked the 14.07 Weymouth to Waterloo, the last BR steam worked passenger service in Southern England. ELDER DEMPSTER LINES is seen here arriving at Weymouth on that momentous day in 1967. Hi
I have no info about this fascinating loco or its location. Unfortuntely the negative is a bit unsharp but hopefully it will still be possble to identify. Assume around 1948-50 with the full BRITISH RAILWAYS lettering. All ideas much appreciated.

A few shots of 70004 (the Golden Arrow engine). Can someone confirm the images is at Folkestone sidings and in the other two shots I am trying to date the one on the turntabke at Shrewsbury- the shedcode appers to be 1 something if that helps- and then the view at Newton Heath needs some date help- the loco has a 9B shedcode (so allegedly between May 65 and June 67) but the adjacent Black 5 45421 has a 12A shedcode (offically 1962-1964) so something doesnt match up. Maybe 70004's home made number plate helps to date it if anyone knows it would be much appreciated.

Hi! Would appreciate sugestions for the locations of each of these 9F pix. the one passing a signal box is 92138 working 1M24, The freight is 92137 leaving a tunnel, No. 92215 is leading the powerful ine up of 8Fs and another 9F, and I think the 9F on shed may be 92212 but very hard to tell -I can see two 2s but that's about it... Any ideas on locations, workings or approx date much appreciated. Thx.

Another image of Britain's oldest working locomotive in 1965 (I believe) as Adams O2 Class 0-4-4T No W14 FISHBOURNE, piloted by No W24 CALBOURNE, heads away from the photographer as they set out from Wroxall, IOW, at the head of the LCGB 'Vectis Farewell' railtour to Ventnor, with sound recordists 'window hanging' in the front carriage. 3rd October 1965
