Some roads are more than just a way to get somewhere.
They become part of the journey. 🍂

Driving through Glencoe in autumn, with the mountains ahead and nothing but open landscape around us.
One of those Scottish roads I could drive again and again.

You & me, Scottish road trip. 🤎

Edinburgh has a way of making even an ordinary walk feel special.
A glimpse of the old town, busy streets, dramatic architecture and little moments in between.
Just another day in one of Scotland’s most beautiful cities.

A little look back at our summer. ☀️

We spent two weeks sailing around Greece, discovering beautiful islands, hidden corners and that special feeling of life at sea. ⛵️🇬🇷

The rest of the summer was spent closer to home, in Scotland — revisiting some of our favourite places and discovering new ones along the way. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Beautiful views, plenty of sunshine, long days and countless little moments that made this summer special.

Now it’s September, but I’m definitely not ready to let summer go just yet. 🤍

Some places are worth visiting not just for the view, but for the story they carry.

Tucked away on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, overlooking the Atlantic, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village is one of those places.

Walking between the old stone cottages, it’s easy to imagine how different life here once was. These traditional blackhouses were once homes to crofting families, built to withstand the harsh Hebridean weather.

The last residents left in the early 1970s, and today the village offers a glimpse into a way of life that has almost disappeared.

And perhaps that’s what makes places like this so special.
Scotland isn’t only about dramatic landscapes and beautiful beaches. Sometimes, the most interesting stories are hidden in a stone wall, an old doorway or a thatched roof.

A few tips:
• Allow 1–2 hours to explore.
• Check opening times before visiting.
• Combine it with Dun Carloway Broch and Calanais Standing Stones.
• Don’t rush — the Atlantic setting is part of the experience.
• Campervans: no overnight stays in the village car park.

Some places you photograph.
Some places you remember.
And some make you stop and think about the people who once called them home.

Gearrannan is definitely one of the latter.

No internet. No noise. No rush.

Just a trail disappearing into the mountains and a little space to think.

Sometimes, disconnecting from the world is the best way to reconnect with what really matters.

The walk to Mount Keen.

There’s something about the Scottish coast that I can never quite put into words.

Maybe it’s the colours.
The wildness.
The way the sea seems to go on forever.

But mostly, it’s how I feel when I’m here.

I slow down.
I breathe deeper.
I notice the little things.
And for a while, nothing else seems to matter.

I’ve seen many beautiful places, but some stay with you for a different reason.

The Scottish coast is one of those places for me.
And I’ll never get tired of coming back. 🤍

Scotland is turning purple 💜

One of my favourite signs that autumn is on its way — the heather starting to bloom across the Highlands.

I captured this while walking up Mount Keen, and for a moment, the heather-covered hills were every bit as beautiful as the summit itself.

There’s something about Scotland in this season… 💜

Have you ever seen the Highlands covered in purple?

Maybe a simple life is not a smaller life.
Maybe it’s a fuller one. 🤍

Less rushing.
Less comparing.
Less chasing the next thing.

More time outside.
More slow mornings and long evenings.
More moments that don’t need to be shared to matter.

Because sometimes, having less isn’t about giving something up.
It’s about finally having space to notice what you already have.

A simple life. A life that feels like yours.

A few days on Scotland’s west coast — roads that lead to beautiful views, quiet moments, changing skies, and places we didn’t want to leave.

Just a collection of little moments from a trip we’ll happily remember. 🤍

Scotland, you never disappoint.

ARISAIG COASTAL

One small stretch of Scotland’s west coast, and yet so much to take in.

We spent three days around Arisaig, exploring its beautiful beaches, rocky shores and impossibly clear waters, with views that seemed to change around every corner.

There was nowhere we needed to rush to. Just long walks, quiet beaches, beautiful coastal views and time to enjoy this little corner of Scotland at our own pace.

Sometimes, the smaller places leave the biggest impression. 🤍
