While the Mustache Shallow was designed to be bulky and push a lot of water, we saw a need to develop a smaller version: the Baby Mustache Shallow.

This “mini Mustache” is ideal for targeting pike when they are feeding on smaller prey or for fishing shallow, snag-filled areas in ponds and rivers.

It retains the concave head shape, which allows it to push a significant amount of water to get pike’s attention.

Another advantage is that it enables the use of smaller soft plastic lures (around 5 or 6 inches) and lighter fishing rods.

How to fish with split rings that don’t require a split ring plier?

We designed the EZ Split to be used without the need for split-ring pliers. Its shape allows it to be attached to a lure simply by pushing it onto the lure’s eyelet. This approach saves valuable time, letting you spend more time casting your lure into the action.

To set it up, simply attach a Drop Solid Ring to your leader using the knot of your choice, a Palomar knot in this instance, and then force the Drop Solid Ring into the EZ Split.

Repeat the process for the lure, and you’re ready to fish! 🎣

What does UV color actually mean? 🟡 👀

This means that some lures feature a special paint or material capable of reflecting the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

While the human eye cannot perceive this radiation, many fish and cephalopods possess UV photoreceptors in their retinas. To them, these lures become highly visible: they "flash" or stand out very sharply in the water, especially in low light conditions.

Combine this with the vibrations produced by the Spy Snap’s propeller, and you have a setup that is sure to trigger bites from predators.
