Neglected Light- Behind The Scenes😄 (Best Cinematography - Kula Film Awards 2026)

Behind every scene, every laugh, every late-night shoot and every moment captured in the Adi Maopa Kula film is a story of people who came together to make it possible.

This film would not have happened without the incredible support of the people of Vanuabalavu. ❤️

From helping us with transportation, to allowing us to use different locations for our scenes, the community opened their doors and gave their time generously.

Some even had to put up with the noise we made late at night as we filmed the peer group scenes! 😂🎥 And what made it even more special was parents who willingly allowed their children to take part in filming, even when it meant being out late at night.

One beautiful family even opened their home and allowed us to film inside. 🏠❤️

And then came an unexpected blessing, a generous donation of camera equipment from America, which helped make it possible for us to capture this story.

Looking back, we can only say: WE WERE BLESSED. 🙏🏽

To every parent, teacher, family, villager, supporter, driver, helper, donor and friend who played a part:
