On behalf of the Vatoa Island community, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Online Safety Commission Fiji for establishing the very first Cyber Corner nationwide for students on Vatoa Island, Fiji.
This is a historic and meaningful milestone, not only for the students of Vatoa but also for the wider education community in Fiji. We are honoured that our island has been chosen to host this important initiative, which aims to promote online safety, digital awareness, and responsible internet use among our students.
In today's digital world, it is essential that our students understand how to protect themselves online, recognise cyberbullying and online scams, safeguard their personal information, and use digital technology responsibly. The establishment of this Cyber Corner will provide our students with an important opportunity to learn, develop their digital knowledge, and become safer and more responsible internet users.
We sincerely commend the Online Safety Commission Fiji for taking this pioneering step and for recognising the importance of equipping our students, including those in our island communities, with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely.
This initiative is more than just the establishment of a Cyber Corner; it is an investment in the safety, education, and future of our children. We hope it will inspire similar initiatives in other schools and communities throughout Fiji.
