Hääsesonki on nyt takana 🥳

Tämä viikonloppu on jo vapaa, ja vikat hääkuvat lähti tänään asiakkaalle. Hetki otetaan häiden osalta iisiä, kunnes vuodenvaihteen tuntumassa jatketaan taas häätunnelmissa.

Kiitos parit tästä kesästä! Mulle tämän työn onni tulee ihmisten kohtaamisesta, siis teidän tapaamisesta, teihin tutustumisesta ja teidän kanssanne kuvaamisesta. Hääkesä on tänäkin vuonna viuhunut ihan täysiä! Paljon vauhtia, ei juurikaan vaarallisia tilanteita. Hauskaa on kyllä pidetty - esim. näiden kahden kanssa 🤩!

Is minimalism in photography overrated? 🤔

It's not just a trend, and of course it's good practice to only include essential elements. Many people just like look as well, and that's ok.

But here's a thought: Are photos good because they're minimalistic? Or do we photographers just some times find minimalism is the easiest way of producing an image, with nothing that takes away from the story? If you don't include a lot of things, everything tends to fit together easier.

I definitely take my share of minimalist shots, and I like the vibe. It's just that in our culture it seems like minimalism has become the preferred end result, instead of a tool to tell a story.

We live in a world of super simplified images of everything. I do think, that in this world, the more (coherent) details a photo has, the more unique it gets. Many of the old, iconic street photos are just filled with weirdly fitting details of people doing their things. When all of those things wrap around the same story, we end up with something captivating. Almost like it's unreal that all those things really happened at once.

So is minimalism overrated? Not necessarily, but it might be misunderstood 🤔

Wedding season is speeding up 🐎

Time to say bye to winter and welcome the busiest wedding season! My summer is fully booked with amazing weddings once again. Meetings with couples and scouting locations is starting now that spring is bringing in the greens 🌿

Quick poses often turn out great 🎊

Shots with most life and movement are often the ones that are less planned. Many times the best shot happens when we've just adjusted to a more, let's say, classic pose, but then just come up with something else on the spot. When the couple moves and adjusts, something real usually happens 🤩
