WHERE THE BODY MEETS THE FOREST 💙
What happens when the images of a forest become part of a woman’s body?
For this series, I printed a top with cyanotype, using a selection of my photographs of trees and ethereal female figures. I wanted the branches, textures and silhouettes of the forest to dissolve into female figures, creating a new visual language where nature and the feminine body become one.
The forest is not simply a landscape.
It is a body.
It breathes, grows, sheds, regenerates.
And perhaps being a woman carries something of the same rhythm —
the ability to transform, to contain, to bloom and disappear,
to be both fragile and deeply rooted.
The cyanotype’s blue becomes a kind of memory:
a trace of the trees transferred onto fabric.
For these photographs, another artist wears the piece and becomes part of this imagined landscape.
Her body is not simply wearing the images of the forest — she enters them.
Branches become extensions of her arms.
Trees become skin.
The landscape becomes an inner place.
A collaboration between photography, cyanotype, textile and the female body, exploring the invisible thread that connects us to the natural world.
