One year ago, this place was… well, let’s just say it needed a little imagination 😂

We moved into a completely new space and slowly turned it into a studio made specifically with dogs in mind, a place where they can explore, relax, play, and of course, have their portraits taken.

There were a LOT of decisions, a fair amount of dust, and more than a few moments of “are we really going to make this work?”

But looking at the studio now, we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

One year, countless dogs, and so many memories later… welcome to Zimtstudio!

You feed them, walk them, train them, comfort them when fireworks go off… and let’s be honest, you probably have 8,000 photos of them on your phone.

But how many photos of you together do you actually love?

That’s what the photoshoot with your dog is all about: honoring the bond you share and the connection they’ll never have with anyone else but you.

You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t even need to look at the camera. Just show up and be present with your dog. We’ll take care of the rest.

Have you always dreamed of having a photoshoot with your dog, but never quite got around to booking one?

This might be your chance!

We’re looking for dogs to join our casting list for commercial photography projects. We regularly work with brands and businesses that need real dogs for their campaigns, products, and content.

Depending on the project, our dog models receive either payment or complimentary photos.

➡️ How does it work?

When a new project comes in, we select a few potential candidates from our casting list and present them to the client. The client then chooses which dogs they’d like to work with. While we can’t guarantee you’ll be selected for every project, joining the casting means you’ll be considered whenever your dog could be a good fit.

September may still feel more like summer, but we're already thinking about autumn.

The cooler evenings, cosy layers, golden light... and, of course, those rich autumn colours we love so much in the studio.

Deep green.
Deep blue.
Burgundy.

There’s something about these deeper shades that instantly makes a dog portrait feel a little more dramatic, warm, and elegant. And when paired with the right coat colour, they can make your dog's features really stand out.

So while we're still enjoying the last warm days of summer, we're quietly getting ready for autumn over here. 🤎

Not every photoshoot has to end with a huge gallery. Sometimes, all you need are a few photographs that make your heart skip a beat.

And Milo here definitely knew how to steal our heart in just a few seconds 💛

Choosing the right background can completely change the feeling of a portrait.

For Ula's session, we picked soft pastel colours and they couldn't have been a better match for her beautiful silver-grey coat. 🤍

One of our favourite parts of every photoshoot happens before we even take the first picture: choosing the colours that will complement your dog's fur, eyes, and personality.

Some dogs look incredible on bold, dramatic colours. Others, like Ula, absolutely shine against soft, delicate tones.

There isn't one "best" background. There's only the one that makes *your* dog stand out.

Koa had one very important job during his photoshoot: Run. Play. Explore. Repeat.

Puppies don't stay puppies for long. One day they're bouncing around with oversized paws and endless curiosity... and before you know it, they're all grown up.

That's why we always tell people: if you've been thinking about professional photos, don't wait for the "perfect time." This is the perfect time.

This session was especially meaningful because Koa's family had been at our studio before. Few months ago they trusted us to photograph their previous dog, a beautiful soul who has since crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈

Now they returned with the newest member of their family, ready to create a new chapter of memories.

We photograph a lot of dogs… and if there’s one thing that’s clear every single time, it’s this:

You are their person & their safe place.

Your dog doesn’t care what you’re wearing or if you feel a little awkward in front of the camera. They’re just thrilled to be near you. So when you step into the frame together, something magical happens - your bond becomes visible. And that’s what we live for 💛

These aren’t just cute photos (though, yes, there’s plenty of cuteness). These are memories of what it feels like to be loved by your dog and to love them right back.

So if you've been thinking about getting in front of the camera with your pup, this is your sign. You won’t regret it.
