These 2 poodles came to our studio to do one thing… and that thing was looking fabulous ✨🐩

Honestly, some dogs just know they’re stars. They’re confident, they know how to pose, and they walked into the studio like they owned the place.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes: treats flying, weird noises, and us hyping them up like they were on the cover of Vogue 😂

Was it worth it? We definitely think so.

Staffies are often misunderstood.

But every time we meet one in the studio, they prove the same thing: there’s nothing but sweetness behind those eyes.

This lovely boy came to one of our Essex sessions and showed exactly that. Affectionate and full of love from start to finish!

How could anyone resist those eyes?

Mid-air treat shots look fun… and they are 😄 But they’re also all about timing and setup.

We position the dog first, then use a treat to guide their focus.
At the right moment, we toss the treat and we capture that split second when everything lines up.

It’s not about making the dog stay still, but about being ready for the exact moment they react.

Good lighting, fast camera settings and a lot of practice make a big difference here.

And yes… it usually takes a few tries (and a few missed treats).

But the result? A photo full of movement, focus and personality.

When a Border Collie comes for a photoshoot… you already know it’s going to be a good session 🐾

Smart, alert, full of energy, and always ready to work with you. That’s exactly what makes them so fun to photograph.

One moment they’re focused and calm… the next they’re full speed and full personality.

And that mix is exactly what creates such expressive, dynamic images.

Border Collies never make it boring and we love that!

Don’t blink or you might miss it!

When it comes to dogs that move a lot during their photoshoot, getting a good photo isn’t about making them stay still.

It’s about the right timing.

We often need less than a second to capture the moment, right when your dog looks at the camera and lifts their ears.

And yes, we can do it even with two dogs in the studio. And even when they’re distracted or full of energy.

That’s why experience with dogs (and timing) makes all the difference 🐾
