Dog Photography Studio in the heart of Barcelona

28/10/2026

The story continues below 👇

There were no distracting elements in the studio — the dog received undivided attention and was the star of the show.

I started taking pictures for more people. People who loved their dogs as much as I loved Zimt, and who wanted to make their dogs’ unique personalities stand out.

I wasn’t looking for superficial beauty.

I wanted to capture CHARACTER — the little quirks, the expressions, the true personality of each dog in front of my camera.

In 2019, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: I opened Zimtstudio, a portrait studio exclusively dedicated to dogs.

Ever since, my focus has been on creating portraits with character — portraits that tell the story of who each dog really is.

A little tribute to the dogs who came to our studio, stepped in front of our camera, and have sadly passed away.

We feel lucky to have met each of them and to have captured a little piece of who they were.

Their photos will always remind us that our time with our dogs is never long enough (and that the memories we create with them are worth holding onto).

To all the beautiful souls in this carousel, my little Shmooz at the very beginning: you are missed, always. And you will be remembered, always.

The only thing better than a beautiful dog portrait… is one with their favorite human in it. 💛

We love capturing the connection between dogs and their people. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle, a shared laugh, or a goofy moment that turns into a favorite memory.

Your dog doesn’t have to be a model. You don’t have to be one either. Just come as you are. That’s all we need to create photos like these: real moments, real connections, real love. 💫

📩 Want to create your own set of memories? Send us a DM and let’s plan your session.

Dangerous? Look again.
Dobermans are often misunderstood, labeled as aggressive and intimidating.

But this mother and son duo? They came into the studio and did nothing but pose like pros. Just tongues out, head tilts, and lots of personality.

And if we're already on the topic of misconceptions: guess, what this family gets asked a lot when walking their pups? The answer is: yes, the brown dog is also a doberman, (that’s actually how doberman ears naturally look).

What you see on our page isn’t just a quick snap straight from the camera. After every session, we take the time to carefully edit each photo so it reflects the quality and personality your dog deserves.

We adjust the light, clean up distractions and bring out the little details that make your dog look like who they really are.

This is why your final portraits take a little time. Because good photography doesn’t stop when the session ends. That’s where the real magic begins.

🐶 “My dog is very big… can you handle them?”

Yes! No matter how big your dog is, they’re always welcome at Zimtstudio.

We’ve worked with all dogs in all shapes in sizes - from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes - and we know how to create a setup that works for each one. Whether your dog is 5kg or 80kg, we make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and have plenty of space to move.

Big dogs can be goofy, energetic, or think they’re lap dogs (even when they’re clearly not! 😂), and that’s exactly what makes them fun to photograph. So don’t worry -your gentle giant is in good hands.

Spots, attitude, and just the right amount of chaos. 🤍🖤

There’s something about Dalmatians that makes them impossible to ignore.

Every single one has their own pattern, their own personality, and their own ideas about how a photoshoot should go 😄

Here are a few of our favourite spotted faces from in front of the camera.

Yes, we photograph cats too!

Over the years, we’ve had quite a few feline visitors in front of our camera: each with their own personality, their own rules, and very different opinions about the whole photoshoot thing. 😄

Some were curious. Some were cautious. But absolutely all of them let us know that they were in charge, not us!

Looking back at all these sessions, one thing is obvious: cats might do things differently, but they have just as much personality to capture.

Here are a few of the cats we’ve had the pleasure of photographing over the years.

Some photographs become more precious with time.

This is Albo. 🤍

He came to the studio for a photoshoot, and sadly, not long after, his family had to say goodbye to him.

At the time, these were simply photos of Albo being himself. But now, they are memories his family can hold onto forever.

Because when our dogs are gone, we can’t take any more photos. We can’t capture that face, that expression, or the little things that made them them.

Photographing our dogs is definitely about documenting the present moment, showing their personality, their character.

But these photographs also become a tribute to your dog - your best friend, your partner in crime. Your family. And a precious memory to keep when you miss them.

Anybody feels like playing chess? ♟️
Because we’ve got the black and white game covered (at least when it comes to backgrounds).

These two classic colors may seem simple, but they do a lot of heavy lifting.
🖤 Black brings drama, depth, and contrast.
🤍 White feels clean, bright, and timeless.

And the best part? They both let your dog’s personality take center stage.

Which team are you on: team black or team white?
