Ich hatte das neue .germany AF 26 mm f/2.8 EVO jetzt mit in Österreich und konnte es dort direkt bei einigen Sunrise und Sunset Shoots testen. Gerade in den Bergen war das für mich eigentlich der Best Case: Mit gerade einmal 130 Gramm und dem super kompakten Pancake Design kann man das Objektiv wirklich einfach noch in die Jackentasche schieben und hat trotzdem jederzeit eine Festbrennweite dabei, wenn man spontan eine andere Perspektive ausprobieren möchte.

Die 26mm haben mir dabei richtig gut gefallen, weil man schön viel von der Umgebung mitnehmen und trotzdem kreativ mit Vordergründen und Perspektiven spielen kann. Dazu haben mich die Schärfe und das allgemeine Handling wirklich überzeugt. Gerade die Bilder vom Sunrise sind teilweise echt Hammer geworden.

Für mich definitiv eines dieser Objektive, die man einfach zusätzlich einpackt, weil Größe und Gewicht eigentlich keine Ausrede mehr sind.

I took the new .official AF 26 mm f/2.8 EVO with me to Austria and got to test it during several sunrise and sunset shoots. Especially in the mountains, this was pretty much the best case for me: At just 130 grams and with its super compact pancake design, you can literally just throw the lens into your jacket pocket and still have a prime lens with you whenever you spontaneously want to try a different perspective.

I really enjoyed the 26mm focal length because you can capture a lot of the surroundings while still getting creative with foregrounds and different perspectives. The sharpness and overall handling also really impressed me. Especially some of the images from sunrise turned out absolutely amazing.

For me, this is definitely one of those lenses you simply pack as an extra because size and weight really aren’t an excuse anymore.
