— I’m a wedding photographer. of course I care about your photos.

I care about the light, the composition, the tiny moments happening somewhere in the background. I care about creating photographs I’m proud of — and yes, photographs I want to share on here, too. but none of that should ever matter more than you actually enjoying your wedding.

and maybe that sounds incredibly obvious. and I think it should be! your photographer should have opinions. they should bring experience, give advice, tell you when five more minutes might make a difference and sometimes encourage you to trust them when you’re not quite sure. but at the end of the day, it’s not their wedding.

so whether you want the perfectly styled details, the pinterest-worthy portraits, five minutes of couple photos or an entire editorial moment — the goal should never be to create someone else’s idea of the perfect wedding, it should be to understand yours.

because loving someone’s photographs is a pretty good reason to inquire. but trusting the person behind the camera? that’s the reason to book them 💛

— what if your wedding felt less like a wedding and more like the best garden party you’ve ever had? 🌷🌼🪻

because that’s pretty much what Lisa & Carsten did: they got married at the registry office in Mainz and afterwards everyone gathered in the garden. no big venue. no elaborate wedding concept. no couple session including disappearing for an hour. not even the obligatory 27 combinations of group photos 🤭

instead, there were colourful decorations they made themselves, flowers everywhere, a wedding cake baked by Lisa’s mum and a speech held by one of their friends. Lisa wore a jumpsuit. everyone sat together in the garden, ate, drank, talked, laughed and simply spent the afternoon together.

and whenever something happened, I photographed it. no schedule telling us that now was the time to create memories. they were already happening everywhere.

and somewhere in between all of that, Lisa & Carsten casually added one more reason to celebrate by telling everyone they were expecting a baby 🥹

I think weddings like this are such a beautiful reminder that you can strip away almost everything you think a wedding is supposed to have — and somehow, nothing important is missing. because in the end, it’s not the perfectly planned timeline, the traditional wedding dress or the elaborate decoration that makes a wedding feel like yours.

it’s looking around and seeing all your favourite people in one place. and maybe eating a piece of cake your mum made while you’re at it 💛

— not every wedding photo needs to capture a moment. some are allowed to create one.

I talk a lot about the moments that happen without any direction: the unexpected laugh, the quick glance, the way your hand finds each other without even thinking about it. and yes, those will probably always be my favourite photographs.

but documentary wedding photography doesn’t mean I spend your entire wedding day hiding somewhere in a bush waiting for something to happen like a papparazzi 🤭

sometimes I see the light, the landscape, the way your dress moves or the two of you standing somewhere and think: »wait. I have an idea.“ and then we create something magical!

I’ll tell you where to stand. I’ll give you something to do. I might ask you to move your hand approximately three centimetres because somehow that makes all the difference.

some photographs happen in front of my camera — others start in my head. and I think a wedding gallery needs both: the completely unplanned moments that could never be recreated — and the photographs we intentionally make together because your wedding day also deserves to be turned into art.

because your photos don’t have to choose between feeling real and looking beautiful. they can be both 💛

— you got engaged and now you’re getting married? please put it on top of your list to do an engagement photoshoot!

not only is that the easiest way to get a beautiful, high-quality engagement photo for your wedding invitations. it’s also a perfect preparation for your couple shoot on your wedding day. you get to experience which poses and prompts or even photos you like best and get a feeling of how it feels to be in front of my camera.

with me, you also have all the possibilities to do your engagement session at your own preferred location and time, so why not do it at the spot and time you also want to do your couple shoot on your wedding day so you can see how your photos will look like? or you can just enjoy a completely different photoshoot with that »freshly engaged«-feeling.

the best part? when you book my 10 hour deluxe wedding package, you‘ll get an engagement session for free, and even when you book a package with lesser hours, you‘ll get a discount. that is how much I believe in the worth of such an engagement photoshoot for you 💌

— please bring your dog to our couple shoot — please do. because if they’re part of your everyday life, why wouldn’t they be part of your photos, too?

they don’t have to sit perfectly, don’t have to look at my camera. and they definitely don’t have to understand why their humans suddenly keep kissing instead of continuing the walk 🤭

when I photographed Clara and Felix after their proposal, their dog joined us for part of the session and naturally, things became a little less predictable. there were cuddles, distractions, probably a few treats involved and three instead of two personalities for me to work with.

but that’s exactly why I love having dogs at couple sessions: I’m not looking for the perfect photo of everyone sitting nicely and smiling at the camera. I want the way you actually are together. because one day, these photos won’t just show you what this chapter of your life looked like. they’ll remind you who was right there by your side 🐾💛

— there’s a very specific kind of happiness that only exists right after getting engaged 💍💛✨

— the question has finally been asked. the secret is out. the nerves are gone.

— and suddenly there’s this tiny new ring on your hand that you somehow can’t stop looking at 🤭

— after Felix surprised Clara with his proposal, we didn’t just take a few photos and call it a day.

— we stayed.

— we walked around, talked about what had just happened, looked at the ring approximately 274 times and let the excitement slowly sink in.

— and I think that’s one of my favourite things about photographing proposals.

— of course I want the moment itself!

— the surprise. the question. the yesssss!!

— but I also want everything that comes after.

— the »wait, did this actually just happen?!«

— the constant smiling.

— the way you suddenly start calling each other fiancé and fiancée.

— because the proposal might only take a few seconds …

— but being freshly engaged deserves a little more time than that 💍✨

07/08/2026

— this one has been on my mind for a while.

when you book me for 8 hours, you’re not paying for 8 hours of me constantly pressing a button. you’re paying for me to notice. to watch your guests while everyone else is looking somewhere else. to see the little glance across the room. to know when to step in — and when to stay back. to make people forget that there’s a camera around at all.

sometimes that means I’m taking photos nonstop. sometimes it means I’m standing somewhere quietly, waiting for something to happen. sometimes it means I’m chatting to your grandma, laughing with your friends or sitting down for a few minutes to eat while still keeping one eye on the room.

because wedding photography isn’t really about the amount of times I press the shutter. it’s about being present enough to know when I should.

the hours you book set the frame for how much of your day I can document. but what you’re actually investing in are the photographs that come out of it: the obvious moments, the tiny ones, and all the things you didn’t even realise were happening 💛

06/08/2026

— that’s one of my favorite questions to get before a couple or engagement or even bridal shoot. because the answer will almost always be: yes. absolutely.

they’re part of your family. they’ve been there through ordinary days, big milestones and everything in between. why wouldn’t they be part of the memories you’ll look back on for the rest of your lives?

will they always sit still? probably not. will they sometimes steal the spotlight? definitely. but that’s what makes the photos feel even more like you. so if you’re wondering whether your dog belongs in your couples or engagement session - this is your sign to bring them 🥹💛

04/08/2026

— your wedding photoshoot doesn’t have to be a wedding photoshoot. wait. what?! 🤭

you don’t have to spend an hour standing perfectly still, looking elegant, making sure your dress never gets dirty or trying to recreate the photos you’ve saved on pinterest.

what if your couple session simply was running through a field, practising your first dance, shaking a bottle of champagne that definitely shouldn’t be shaken and laughing so hard you forget there’s a camera around?

because that’s the thing: I‘ll never be the photographer looking for perfectly executed poses. I’m the one looking for the moments in between. the laughter that wasn’t planned. the champagne that ended up everywhere. the little glances that happened when you forgot you were being photographed. because that’s where the photos start feeling like you.

whether you’re planning a big wedding or an intimate elopement, your couple session doesn’t have to look a certain way. it just has to feel like the two of you 💛✨

— »why are some photos in our gallery out of focus?« because memories are, too.

when you look back at your wedding years from now, you won’t remember every detail with perfect clarity. you’ll remember how tightly you held each other. how your heart raced. how the room felt, filled with every person you love. how everyone laughed, cheered for you.

that’s why I don’t only photograph what I see as a documentary wedding photographer. I photograph what it feels like. because not every photo is meant to show you every detail. some photos are meant to remind you what a moment felt like.

I love sharp images - they tell you what happened. but every now and then, I’ll intentionally include a photo that’s a little imperfect. because sometimes, a little blur tells that story better than perfect focus ever could 💛
