"Ich find's ganz komisch, dass wir uns jetzt seltener hören … jetzt, wo die Hochzeit vorbei ist."

So begann Melanies Voicemail. 🤍

Ganz ehrlich? Allein dieser Einstieg hat mir schon ein Lächeln ins Gesicht gezaubert. Was danach kam, hört ihr hier in diesem Reel.

Natürlich steht an erster Stelle, dass meine Paare super glücklich mit ihren Fotos sind. Aber was mich genauso berührt, ist zu hören, dass diese Bilder auch für ihre Familien und Freund*innen etwas bedeuten.

Dass die Liebsten beim Anschauen nochmal Tränen in den Augen haben.
Dass Freund*innen gemeinsam über die verrücktesten Momente der Party lachen können.
Dass Menschen diesen besonderen Tag noch einmal gemeinsam erleben können.

Denn am Ende erzählt eine Hochzeitsreportage nie nur die Geschichte des Hochzeitspaars – sondern auch von all den Menschen, mit denen sie diesen Tag geteilt haben.

Storytime.

Seit über 9 Jahren bin ich als Hochzeitsfotografin selbständig. Auf über 150 Hochzeiten, habe ich unzählige Erfahrungen sammeln dürfen und immer wieder Geschichten zu erzählen, die für Gänsehaut oder "das gibt's doch nicht!"-Momente sorgen...

Geschichten, die hier auf Instagram bisher viel zu kurz gekommen sind, aber mich noch Jahre später prägen. Geschichten, die ich sonst nur mit Freunden wie teile - und die ein echt großer Bestandteil unserer Freundschaft geworden sind.

Was als Scherz begann, wurde innerhalb von 48 Stunden Realität. Schnell stand die Idee, das Konzept und das Design.

This wedding was magical 🤍

Kira und Matthi sind absolute Herzensmenschen. Das durften wir in jeder Sekunde und jedem Detail dieser Hochzeit spüren. Die Art, mit wie viel Liebe die zwei sich anschauen hat sich regelrecht in meine Erinnerung gebrannt.

Umso glücklicher macht es mich, dass den beiden eine Trauung kreiert hat, die echt unter die Haut ging und für lautes Lachen und Freudentränen sorgte. 🤍

The truth about a 12 hour wedding day 📸✨️⬇️

I absolutely love documenting your wedding day from beginning to end. 🤍 Even though 12 hours may sound like a lot of time, the day goes by way faster than you think.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your timeline:

— Build in buffer time. Things takes might take longer than expected (especially your getting ready) and you deserve enough time to actually enjoy your day instead of rushing through it. 🤍

— You can totally do your couple portraits or vows before the ceremony if you want to. There are no rules. ⚡️

— Don’t skip cocktail hour! 🍸 Seeing you celebrate with your guests, hugging, laughing, and toasting together is always one of the most beautiful parts of the day. Make sure to leave enough time for it.

— Your maid of honor, best man or friends might be planning a surprise or preparing speeches for you. Make sure to communicate beforehand how much time is planned for those moments and when they can happen throughout the day.

— Family photos often take longer than expected. Try to keep group combinations minimal and plan a generous time slot for them. 📸

— And most importantly: the day will go by so incredibly fast. Soak in every moment. ✨
