The underground world of Guilin is no longer a secret.

If the Earth ever painted a self-portrait, it would look like this. 🎨🏔️

📍 Zhangye Danxia Scenic Area, Gansu, China

Stretching across the Qilian Mountains foothills, Zhangye's "Rainbow Mountains" are 100 million years of tectonic shifts and wind turned into layered ribbons of crimson, ochre, sage green, and pearl gray.
Named a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2020 and voted one of CNN's "Most Unusual Landscapes," this is the only place in China where Danxia landform, colorful hills, and earth forest coexist.

Live from Jingdezhen 🏺✨

UNESCO just named our porcelain heritage site and we're celebrating with a slow, unhurried stream of clay-to-art.

A thousand-year-old wooden pavilion. A 16-meter clay bodhisattva. Still standing. 🏯

Dule Temple in Tianjin has survived wars, earthquakes, and centuries. Its Guanyin Pavilion, built in 984 AD, is one of China's oldest wooden structures—and inside sits the tallest ancient clay statue in the country.

📍 Longshui Lake & Dazu Rock Carvings, Chongqing, China

On summer mornings, egrets nest among the trees of Longshui Lake, their reflections rippling across still water.

Just in Dazu District, another wonder waits: the Dazu Rock Carvings, a UNESCO site since 1999, with over 50,000 statues telling stories of faith and daily life from the 9th to 13th centuries.

✨ Nature’s own neon light show, flickering beneath the waves of Matsu's nighttime shores.

📍 Nangan Island, Matsu, Taiwan, China.

Every spring, the ocean here transforms. From April to June, the dark waters come alive with an ethereal blue glow, set off by the gentle push of waves or the stroke of an oar. This isn't magic—it's science. Bioluminescent plankton, known as Noctiluca scintillans, flash their icy-blue light when disturbed, turning the tide into a living galaxy. Against the quiet silhouettes of the island's rocky coastline, it feels like you're watching the stars fall into the sea.

In Turpan, Xinjiang, temperatures are nearing 50 degrees Celsius, yet extreme heat is drawing crowds instead of deterring them. Visitors are flocking to the city's sand therapy center to bury themselves in hot sand, seeking relief from pain and stress.

Nature’s own silver veins, pulsing across the golden high-altitude wilderness.

📍 Tuotuo River, Tanggula Mountains, Qinghai, China.

This is the official source of the mighty Yangtze River. Flowing at over 4,500 meters above sea level, it forms a breathtaking braided river system. Countless silver and azure channels split and reunite across the wide valley, creating a living masterpiece of nature against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

A green so vivid it doesn't look real — like someone poured liquid jade across the earth.

📍 Qarhan Salt Lake, Golmud, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai, China

This is China's largest salt lake, but size isn't what makes it unforgettable. It's the color. Patches of emerald and turquoise water sit within the white salt crust, creating a surreal patchwork that shifts with the light. In some spots, the green is so bright it almost glows. A highway runs right through it — built entirely on salt.
