PORTRAIT OF ANTONIO
Venice continues to surprise me through the people who keep its traditions of craftsmanship alive.

I was fascinated by Antonio’s dedication to his craft. Before he creates a single frame, he takes the time to understand the person who will wear it. Every pair of glasses is handmade and tailored to its owner—some requiring up to 25 hours of meticulous work.

In a city with a remarkable history of eyewear and glassmaking, Antonio’s work is a beautiful reminder that Venice is still a place where patience, skill and craftsmanship thrive.
