🌈 Today: May 28 🌈

It has been five years since Tika’s rainbow bridge crossing 💜🐾 (May 28, 2021)

Spent the morning with these beautiful elephants at the Samui Elephant Sanctuary in Koh Samui, Thailand🐘🐘🐘. It was such an informative learning experience and I even got to make snacks and feed the elephants! 🤗🐘

(As per their brochure, the Samui Elephant Sanctuary is Koh Samui’s first ethical and award winning elephant sanctuary. Thank you for all that you do to give these creatures a safe home to live out their lives❤️🐘)

It’s a dog’s life!!! (I hope this dog and all the others I’ve seen on the beach and in the streets of Koh Samui (and everywhere!!) are well-cared for and loved!). ❤️🙏

I spent the day completely switching off at and it was exactly what I needed 🌿✨

From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm and grounding. The experience started with a beautiful Chakra Dhara oil ritual that instantly helped me relax, followed by a soothing body massage. There was a natural body scrub, a flower bath overlooking the jungle, an Ayurvedic facial, and even a nourishing hair treatment that left me feeling refreshed from head to toe.

They also included a healthy lunch, which made the whole experience feel even more luxurious and unhurried. After more than six hours of treatments, I walked out feeling lighter, recharged, and completely at peace.

If you’re in Bali and looking for a full wellness escape, this is definitely one to add to your list 🌺💆‍♀️🍃

WATCH through the END🎥. What an incredible show at !!! (And keep your eyes peeled for me! No hairs for burned 🙏🔥). No reservations required and no fee for the show (but we had a very enjoyable dinner and drinks, with front row seats!!). And be sure to tip the performers afterwards 😉
They have 3 shows in a row with a little break in between; we arrived around 6:40pm for a start time around 8ish. The show lasted approximately 1 hour and it was amazing! A definite must-do!!!

The Kecak and Fire Dance in Ubud (shown in this short two-part 🎥 video summary) is a traditional Balinese performance that combines music, storytelling, and theatre in a unique and powerful way. Less than CAD$10 (100k IDR) for about a 45 min show! Great local and cultural entertainment 🤗
Instead of using instruments, a large group of performers creates the rhythm through synchronized chanting and movement, building an intense atmosphere throughout the show.
The dance tells scenes from the Ramayana, an ancient Hindu epic, featuring themes of loyalty, courage, and the battle between good and evil.

🎥 Bet you can’t guess how many calories this amounts to! 🤣 BALI is a foodie’s paradise! 🤗 I’ve been indulging in all kinds of goodness over my 4 weeks on (and off) the island- primarily vegan and vegetarian, but also some meat dishes, combined with delicious fruit juices, locally roasted coffee, and amazing cocktails🍹 My tummy has been very happy 🤗 (➡️Sanur-Nusa Lembongan-Ubud-Tabanan-Kintamani-Sudaji (Sawan)-Ubud).

During my travels, I seek out interesting places for food and drink….and Bali certainly did not disappoint! ❤️🥗🍸☕️🧉Everything is so fresh, local and abundant! Mmmmmm! Loving it!! (And now I am in Thailand- with Thai food being one of my fave cuisines !!) 🤗

Drinking a fresh young coconut with your bare hands and mouth is such a novelty for this Canadian gal! 🇨🇦🌴🥥 And it is extra special when the coconut is gifted to you from an old friend you reunited with after 9 years, handpicked right in his backyard! 😮🤗
