Not every photoshoot needs a field, a beach, or a perfect sunset.

Sometimes all it takes is a little water, a few carefully chosen details, and a bit of imagination.

These water portrait sessions are quickly becoming one of my favourite things to create. The water adds movement, reflections, depth, and an almost dreamlike quality that transforms a portrait into something that feels like artwork.

The best part? No two sessions are ever the same.

We can create something soft and romantic with flowers, bold and dramatic with rich colours, whimsical with floating greenery, or completely unique to your own personality and style. Kids love them, grads look incredible in them, and they're equally stunning for maternity, branding, creative portraits, bo***ir, and just-because-you-deserve-beautiful-photos sessions.

These are photographed right here at my studio, and because we're on well water, I can offer them without concern. The small amount of water used is later recycled into my veggie and fruit garden, so every drop gets a second purpose.

Photography should be more than standing and smiling at a camera. It should tell a story, spark curiosity, and create something people stop scrolling to look at twice.

Six months.

Half a year of first smiles, sleepy cuddles, tiny fingers, and watching a little personality bloom more every day.

One day you'll blink and this squishy baby stage will be gone, replaced by running feet, endless questions, and big adventures. That's why I love milestone sessions—they freeze these fleeting moments for just a little while longer.

And those eyes? They're already busy studying the world. 💙

A little sneak peek from last night's Vernon Women of the Year Awards at Coldstream Hall ✨

What an incredible evening celebrating so many inspiring women who make a difference in our community every day. It was an honour to be there capturing the smiles, laughter, connections, and well-deserved recognition.

The food was absolutely amazing thanks to Uprooted Kitchen & Catering, and Moon Beam Creative Space did a fantastic job capturing video throughout the evening. A huge thank you as well to the many vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who helped make this event possible behind the scenes. Events like these truly take a village.

Congratulations to all of the nominees, finalists, and award recipients. Vernon is lucky to have such a strong community of women leading, creating, supporting, and inspiring others. ❤️

Grad photos aren't just for the girls. 😊

I know grad season can be busy (and expensive!), so I try to make professional grad photos as easy and affordable as possible for everyone.

During your school's formal park event, we can sneak away for just 10–20 minutes for a quick grad and family photoshoot. We'll capture photos of your graduate, family photos, and even some fun shots with their friends and fellow grads while everyone is together.

It's a simple way to get beautiful keepsake photos without taking time away from the celebrations.

I only have a few spots remaining at each high school's grad events. Some schools have more availability than others, so don't wait too long to save your spot.
