🖤 I turned 40. 🖤

And obviously, I had to document it my way.

A little wild. A little dramatic. A little moody. And definitely surrounded by way too many balloons. 🤣🎈

I took these photos of myself for my 40th birthday, and honestly… I think they might be some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken.

There’s something about turning 40 that feels different.

I’m not interested in shrinking myself anymore. I’m not interested in being who everyone else thinks I should be.

I’m learning to embrace every weird, beautiful, messy, complicated part of myself.

This is 40.

Here’s to the next chapter. ✨

Blink... and Miss W isn't that little anymore, but these photographs will always bring us back to this exact moment. A mother's embrace. Tiny hands. Golden light. The kind of memories that deserve to be held onto forever.
So grateful I got to tell this chapter of their story. 💛

A little sneak peeks from our second MMIP awareness shoot 🖤

This was another powerful day of remembrance, love, and standing together for our missing and murdered loved ones.

We also officially began our project, where families and friends are adding handprints and the names of their loved ones to carry with us through future awareness shoots.

Thank you again to every person who came, shared, and stood with us ❤️

Our 'Say Their Name' project commenced yesterday. A banner bearing the handprints and names of loved ones taken from us will be displayed at every awareness event we can attend. Anyone can participate, and multiple signatures with the same name are acceptable. If attendance is not possible, we can include names and handprints on your behalf. Additional panels are available for when the banner is full, and it will be recombined at a later time

TYRONE CLEMENT
It was 20 years ago when Tyrone Clement was tragically murdered in Quesnel, B.C. He was taken from us at the age of 19 in a senseless act of violence. This traumatic event was one of the hardest things family has been through. He was murdered by people known to him. So many people were hurt and suffered from the devastation it caused. His family, his daughter and all his friends have had to live a lifetime of grief and loss. Tyrone was a fun, outgoing little brother. He loved his family and his baby daughter Tyanna very much. He liked to chill and hang out with friends and family and was always laughing and was a very protective little brother. 4 people were charged with murder. 1 remains in in jail, 1 is deceased and 2 others were released shortly after.
