Introducing Lori — one of our incredible 40 Over 40 2026 participants.

At first glance, you see strength.
And there is no doubt about it.

Lori dedicated years of her life to bodybuilding competitions — a journey that takes extraordinary discipline, resilience, consistency, and an unstoppable mindset. The level of commitment required is something most people will never fully understand. Even now in her 60s, she continues to work out every single day, showing us that strength is not defined by age, but by spirit and determination.

But beyond all that strength, I also saw something else in Lori.
A softness. A tenderness.

She is genuinely caring, supportive, and easygoing. Beneath the powerful exterior is a beautiful heart that quietly uplifts people.

I had the privilege of attending Gala for the first time this year. Just as I imagined, it was incredibly inspiring, a room full of powerhouse women, with an atmosphere that felt both intimate and warmly welcoming.

What truly moved me was the impact behind it all. For over a decade, the foundation has supported youth by helping young girls build confidence through workshops and mentorship, empowering thousands along the way.

It made me think of the shy girl I once was. Confidence doesn’t always come naturally, it’s shaped by our experiences and the people around us, and sometimes learned the hard way. Watching those girls stand on stage, speaking with such confidence and saying “I am enough,” really stayed with me. For many of us, it takes years to get there. I only wish we had that kind of support and guidance growing up.

Thank you, and for the invitation. I’m so grateful to have been part of such a meaningful evening, and I’m looking forward to finding ways to support this incredible program. ❤️

This is what I witness again and again in the studio. It’s never just about the photos. It’s about the shift. The quiet unfolding. The moment you recognize yourself in a new, deeper way.

Being a photographer, I’m always drawn to something beautiful and inspiring — sometimes in what I see, and often in the people I meet, or simply the energy they carry.

Karen was one of those people.

I had seen her (and her hubby) at a few galas over the years, and even edited photos she was in when our team covered those events. In my mind, I always thought she must be a celebrity from China, haha — there’s an elegance about her that’s hard to miss. And quietly, I held onto this thought: one day, I’d love to photograph her.

Then one evening, there she was again — standing right beside me.

That moment turned into a genuine conversation and lots of hugs. And just as I had sensed from afar, Karen is incredibly kind, grounded, and humble, with a pure heart for supporting so many causes in the community.

I invited her to join our 40 Over 40 campaign… and she said yes.

And this is only the beginning of her story with us.

Rita felt deeply connected to what this 40 Over 40 project stands for: celebrating beauty at every stage, embracing a glamorous experience, and supporting women’s health initiatives.

As a psychotherapist, Rita guides others through healing, self-discovery, and emotional resilience; work that aligns so naturally with the heart of what we do. I’m truly grateful she chose to share her voice and story with us.

She is also a singer, an artist who brings emotion to life through music.

This is also Rita’s milestone shoot as she turns 60… (I know, I wanted to check her ID 🤪). Her presence, energy, and spirit say so much more. So grateful for your presence!
