Motherhood, between the chaos.

This was never meant to be a documentary version of motherhood. No attempt to capture every feeding, sleepless night, pile of laundry or half-finished cup of coffee.

It was a creative shoot with a friend, a baby, some styling, a beautiful garden and an hour to play.

This isn’t what motherhood looks like all day.

Maybe it’s just what it looks like when the noise goes quiet for a minute 💛

If you’re wondering whether your little one can handle a full hour of family photos, I promise—you don’t need to picture them standing still and smiling the whole time.

Family sessions are about playing, exploring, running around, and taking little breaks along the way. I’ll bring activities and games to keep things moving, and if we’re at the beach or park, we’ll make the most of everything around us.

My hope is that your children feel free to be themselves, while you relax and enjoy meaningful time together—not another thing to get through.

Of course, I want you to love the photos. But even more, I want you to remember how it felt to spend that hour laughing, playing, and being together. 🤍

Midday light, river water, mud, and a little creative freedom.

As the busy season finally starts to slow down, I’m so happy to have space for shoots like this again, creating just for the sake of creating with these beautiful ladies.

We played with so many different looks and ideas that day, and this is only the beginning. Lots more from this shoot to come.

A confession: if I had to photograph only one thing for the rest of my career, it would probably be maternity sessions in rain boots.

This morning involved mud, questionable footing, multiple tick inspections, and a fair amount of wandering through the river looking for good light.

So basically, a perfect morning 👌

The funny thing is that these are often the sessions I remember most. Not because everything goes according to plan, but because it doesn’t. We explore, we improvise, we laugh, and somewhere in between we create images that feel natural and genuine.

Worth every muddy step ✨
