WHEN STORMS COLLIDE
Last night we had some Aurora show up between 1030 and 11 PM and while I was out setting up, I noticed some light flashing to the west of me. It became apparent there was a lightning storm moving in, now as you all know, I am not a storm chaser, but I was not going to pass up a chance to catch something unique. The cloud bank was fairly low on the horizon so when I drove out to see if I could capture it, I got very lucky! With a lightning storm moving east and the Aurora dancing above it, I managed to capture the two of them simultaneously.
This shot was the best of the night. However, I did capture numerous shots of cloud lightning so stay tuned

Was lucky to have the clouds part in time for the peak of the Perseids meteor shower and even a little Aurora showed up 🥰
There were quite a few zingers but only managed to capture a couple in camera.

Got to look at some super cool airplanes, watch the SkyHawks Canada land and then we got to go on! We managed to get 4 balloons up, unfortunately due to unstable conditions we were only up for about 15 minutes. Lots of rocking and rolling.
