Newborn photos don’t have to be stressful (yes really!)
•
Here are a few ways to get the most out of your newborn session so you leave the experience with photos that truly feel like home.
✨ Book early
The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester. It gives plenty of time to plan and ensures availability. We’ll finalize the actual date once baby arrives.
✨ Choose the right setting
Whether you love the cozy feel of an in-home session or the timeless simplicity of a studio, choose the space that makes the most sense for your end goal. Need help deciding? Let’s chat!
✨ Let go of perfect
Babies cry, toddlers wander, and life happens. Some of the sweetest images come from the beautifully imperfect moments that happen organically
✨ Plan ahead
Having outfits chosen and essentials on hand before baby arrives help to make the entire session feel more relaxed and enjoyable.
✨ Trust your photographer
You don’t need to know how to pose or make everything look perfect. Trust my guidance and allow yourself to simply lean into the moment.
✨ Keep things simple
Soft neutrals, cozy textures, and timeless pieces help keep the focus on your connection rather than distractions.
✨ Follow baby’s lead
Breaks for feeding, cuddles, or soothing are always welcome. A calm session creates the best experience for everyone. Need to take 5 for yourself? I’ll never say no to baby snuggles.
✨ Be present
Instead of worrying about every little detail, focus on soaking in these special moments with your baby. I’ll worry about the rest.
✨ Focus on connection
The magic is in the little touches, snuggles, and genuine emotion - not perfectly posed smiles.
✨ Print your photos
Your memories deserve a place beyond your camera roll. Albums and framed photos become part of your family’s story for years to come. If you don’t know where to start, I’m happy to help!
If you’re thinking about documenting this season for your family, I’d love to be a part of it 🤍
