I think the reason we love home movies so much is because every imperfect composition, every shaky hand and every clumsy little zoom was at the hands and through the eyes of someone who loved us.

They weren’t trying to create something perfect. They were trying to remember us. And there’s something so special about knowing that the person behind the camera thought this moment, this person, this ordinary little piece of life was worth remembering.

I think thats what makes home movies feel like love to me. 📹🤍

Okay, grab your drink of choice, we need to chat.

Motherhood was a lot of things I expected…
but struggling to answer emails was not one of them.

I used to pride myself on replying within 24 hours.
Like… it was part of my identity. Reliable. On it. Done.

Now?
Some days it takes me… days.

And for a while, that messed with me more than I’d like to admit.

Because it felt like I was slipping.
Like I wasn’t showing up the way I used to.

But here’s the shift I’m sitting in right now:

You can accept the season you’re in
and still build systems that support where you’re going.

It’s not either/or.

I don’t need to hustle my way back to the “old me”
but I also don’t have to stay stuck in chaos.

So right now I’m rebuilding:
– workflows
– automations
– expectations

Not to be perfect…
but to create breathing room and to take care of my clients.

If you’re in a season where things feel slower, heavier, or just different…

you’re not behind.
you’re just rebuilding.

And honestly?
this version is better.

Tell me I’m not the only one who’s felt like this after motherhood?

This was newborn to one year… and I swear I blinked in between.

But here’s the thing, when you’re in the thick of it, running on no sleep, covered in spit up, and just trying to survive the day… stuff like this feels so out of reach.

So here’s your reminderBe the friend who creates the memory.

Bring the coffee. Bring the canvas. Bring the “I’ll do it with you.”
