Finished...one of my absolute favorites! This picture had a lot of memories attached to it. The original thought started...

Finished...one of my absolute favorites! This picture had a lot of memories attached to it. The original thought started when I was a teenager walking one spring in the woods at the family farm. I took a picture of tracks that went through the freeze, though and back to freeze and then snow...the tracks remained set out from the snow. I said then...I will paint this one day. I wanted to include wolves, tracks near a creak and add the sun at dawn. I titled this piece "Back Tracking" as it takes me back in time in many ways. I started the original in 2015/2016 just before my fathers passing. Some how didn't get back to it till early this year---2026. I took out the 3rd wolf and added the suns raise to to create a powerful and resilient piece . Sharing an independent and memorable moment.

Thanks to all those that came out to my Art Studio and Gardens yesterday, and for the "Art in the Garden Tour" put on by Pontypool Art In The Park. A whirl wind of a day, but we even had a bit of sun.
The winner of my free draw is Laurel. A winner of a basket with small feeder, solar light, photo card and small ornament of seeds.

So excited to be one of the studios in the Pontypool "Art in the Garden" Tour this weekend Sat. June 6th. My gardens are bursting into buds of Peonies, Wisteria, and Iris. Lilacs, Perfume Snowball, Lily of the Valley, Jacobs Ladder and Bleeding Heart are in bloom ...just to name a few. So come out and see my little oasis nestled in the farm country hills of Pontypool. I will display a few pictures of some history of the property as well.
My Studio will also be open where you will see my vintage glass solar lights and feeders to inspire creativity in your own gardens. My paintings will also be on display including one that I am currently working on. I would love to see you all.
Hurry and grab tickets for the tour from Yvonne or Laura Pontypool Art In The Park so you can catch the bus to enjoy all the other studios and gardens on the tour.
For those of you that have a busy day planned and can't make the whole tour my doors will be open for the duration.
After the Art in the Garden Tour don't forget the Strawberry Social with tea and goodies at Nimigon Park, 6 Bradley St., Pontypool.

In my Studio and Gardens in June. This year we are a little behind but buds and blooms are popping up everyday. Hoping for a spectacular June 6 Art and Garden Tour followed by a Strawberry Social.
