Ottawa

I was out on a walk when I and my decided to sit on the bleachers next to the baseball diamond to enjoy the beautiful scene that was developing because of the setting sun and the incoming clouds. I stretched my phone way above the fence to capture this photo in RAW. It came out better than I expected!

Shirley's Bay, Nepean, Ontario

This was one of the first photos I clicked when I reached the location. My intention was to capture the sunset, but there was no time for that, so I started clicking elsewhere when I found this human-made rock formation. I thought I had a chance to capture some leading lines, and the photo came out beautifully!

Ottawa River, Remic Rapids

This photo was taken at Remic Rapids along the Ottawa River during a beautiful sunset walk with my daughter. She was happily playing by the water, and I captured this moment in just a split second. Sometimes the most meaningful photos happen when you least expect them.
It's one of my favorite sunset locations in Ottawa and one of my favorite photographs I've ever taken. To me, this image tells a story, one of childhood, wonder, and the simple beauty of being present in the moment.

When I saw this sunset, it looked to me like someone had painted this scene in the sky. A really beautiful sunset.

I only had my cellphone but decided to give it a try. Very happy with the results.

I really believe there is beauty everywhere; we just need to stop and look around.
