Aug 28th - The Full Moon in August is named after North America’s largest fish, the sturgeon. Tonight was actualy get to see the full thing or at 99.3% Waning Gibbous Moon. Early this morning it was the full moon but the partial lunar eclipse was blocking it last night.

Aug 27-28th- Who got to see the cool (96.2%) partial lunar eclipse last night? It happens when the Earth moves directly between the Sun and the Moon. It's hard to capture as the bright light of the moon is being blocked by the Earth. You see a red glow.

Aug 5th - The Royal St. John’s Regatta is the oldest organized sporting event in North America. The year is the 208th Royal St. John’s Regatta. The day is a civic holiday for the entire St. John’s area and is a full day of Fixed Seat Rowing Races. The decision to go ahead with the Regatta is made early that morning at 6:00 AM. They got the Green 🟩 flag for today.

Aug 4th - Colour, Colour, love the colours of the Jelly bean houses in St. John's. A nice walkabout around downtown to see the sights. Some fog was still hanging around Signal Hill along the coast line.
