I was incredibly lucky to photograph Sass Jordan at two of her shows in Ottawa. She is a true Canadian music icon, and one of those artists I will always remember having the chance to photograph.
After the first show, I dropped off an 8x10 photo for her with the merch guy, who kindly brought it backstage. She certainly didn’t have to do anything in return, but she signed two photos for me. I was absolutely speechless.
That small gesture meant more to me than she could ever know. I’ll always be grateful for the memories and for the opportunity to photograph such an incredible Canadian artist.
Her talent and gift to music will be deeply missed.
