This year, photography and I had a bit of a falling out.

Iā€™ve spent the last couple months quietly questioning if this is still for me. Between being a full-time nurse, a wife, and a mom of two littles, life is already fullā€”and somewhere along the way, something that once felt like an escape started to feel heavy.

I fell in love with photography once. It brought me creativity, connection, and friendships I thought would last. But sometimes things donā€™t unfold the way we expect, and losing someone I trusted deeply changed how this all feels for me.

If Iā€™m being honestā€¦ part of me has been wondering if I was ever as good enough to be capturing these special moments for everyone. If maybe I was seeing something in myself that wasnā€™t really there. There has been an overwhelming amount of self doubt.

Thatā€™s a hard place to sit in.

So instead of forcing it, Iā€™m choosing to slow down. To focus on balance, on my family, and on finding my way back to what made me love this in the first placeā€”if itā€™s still there waiting for me.

Mini sessions are coming. Just a little softer, a little more intentional this time.
