it’s April!! ITS APRIL.

I would rather have a sloppy mess of slush and have to wear my rubber boots than look out to a snow bank as high as my window. 10/12 months of the year I loveee love love living here. The march an April seems to be the toughest to get through. And unless you live here- you don’t know how annoying it is to shop for your kids (when we have very limited stores). And then you plan ahead of time ‘okay I’m going to go to north bay this weekend’ BAM- snow storm back on our asses & the highway to civilization is closed. You know you’re risking your life every time you’re on the 11 too! Northern Ontario living is badass, and all of you are badass for doing this year after year. You are resilient. Especially the people born here. Anyways. I’ll go cry in a corner and hold on until May. 😭🫣

enough with the sacrifices I’m waiting for the hard work to pay off ffs!

we moved 7+ hours away from everyone we know and my husband is making more than we did combined down south… so why are we still poor? The cost of living/groceries. What’s the point of living in a place that’s -18 in March but also not being able to get ahead?!

This is why I soak in every single day of summer!

why am I sobbing making this?
I have been a huge panic! At the disco fan since I was 12 & now my own daughter loves panic too. Words truly cannot describe the overwhelming feeling of gratitude I have for being able to share this with my daughter.
You’re never guaranteed a child who likes the same things as you- and for a while she truly didn’t. But she does now. And last year we were dancing to cobra starship together and I just got this feeling of overwhelming happiness. Rare for me. But between my grandma who died being the one who bought me the first boxset (she had to search London and there was no ordering online back then), and sharing the love with Estelle- it’s an amazing connection. I was the only one who got the boxset as a teen- and I also was obsessed with the live in Denver dvd that nobody else could watch back then unless they had the boxset. I’d put it on and my mom had speakers through the basement that would shake the house.
One day my daughter told me she watched it and my jaw dropped.
I love this bands art. They’ve got me through so much as a teenager and adult & im forever grateful. From helping me through being a teen to sharing this happiness with my daughter.. I know it’s cheesy but it’s SO COOL. Maybe one day my daughter will have a daughter and we can share this with her too. Generations of emos.

I knew the moment I found out I was pregnant - it was meant to be no matter what. And I continue to be right about that!
