Proof that you can have the whole damn fairytale without the 150-person guest list. 🥂

An elopement at the iconic Drake Devonshire in Wellington, followed by some epic portraits and continuing the celebrations at Duchess.

Intimate, intentional, effortlessly cool, and not a single moment spent doing something just because wedding tradition says you have to.

And can we talk about how PEC just GETS IT?! The venues, the charm, the food, the vibes. Honestly, it’s showing off at this point.

One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is watching couples throw out the rulebook and create a day that actually feels like THEM. Whether that’s 10 people or 100, I’m here for the love, the chaos, the ch*****ne, and all the little in-between moments.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this life, it’s that who you choose to do life with matters. 🥹🥂

Choose the people who clap the loudest for you. The ones who show up through every season, celebrate your wins like they’re their own, and remind you that getting older is actually a pretty damn beautiful privilege when you’re surrounded by the right people.

I spent some time at the beautiful Claramount Club with a group of absolutely incredible women celebrating yet another milestone together, and I left thinking… THIS. This is what life is supposed to look like.

Not just the big celebrations, but the friendships that survive the messy middle. The belly laughs, the stories that get better every year, the unconditional love, and the people who keep choosing each other through it all.

Because at the end of the day, a beautiful life isn’t necessarily about what you’ve accomplished or accumulated. It’s about who’s sitting around the table with you when it’s time to celebrate. 🤍

Here’s to growing older, getting wiser (debatable 😂), and never outgrowing the people who make life feel a little more magical.

Choose your people wisely. And then celebrate the hell out of them. 🥂

Unfortunately for everyone involved, photographing weddings is my entire personality.

I will fix your hair, get emotionally attached to your grandma, say “STOP IT RIGHT NOW” when you look good, and then immediately tell you to keep doing exactly what you’re doing.

Very calm. Very normal. Someone gave me a camera and this is who I became.

And these two? Treated me like a friend and trusted me completely. Just fully willing to entertain the little creative girl with the camera. An absolute dream. 🥹

We also got ALL the formal photos done before the ceremony, which meant once they said “I do,” they could be fully present with their guests for the rest of the day. Hugging their people, enjoying the party, actually being AT their own wedding. Obsessed with this for them.

The busiest weekend of my year and September was out here being everyone’s wedding month crush. The crisp air, the golden light, the cozy vibes… honestly, rude of her to be this pretty.

My feet? Gone. My memory cards? Full. Would I do it all again? Immediately. 😂

Happy FIRST birthday to these two little NICU warriors. 🤍

Their story is also such a beautiful reminder that it truly takes a village. A village to show up, to love fiercely, to celebrate every milestone and to hold one another up through the hard days. And behind these two boys is one incredibly strong family who has shown just how much love, resilience and strength can carry you through.

Somewhere along the way, I became designated Auntie Photog a title I will very happily keep forever. 🥹🤍 Documenting first birthdays, family snuggles and everything in between, it is such an honour to love these boys and this entire family.

This is the very best part of what I do: clients who become family.

Happy first birthday, boys. You are so incredibly loved, and I cannot wait to keep documenting all the adventures, chaos and milestones still to come. 🤍

I realized recently that the majority of my feed is basically just sneak peeks… and honestly, it makes sense because THIS CAMERA ROLL IS FULL 😂📸

Between content videos, socials, 7 years of photography and, you know… ✨life✨, there are approximately 847,392 photos fighting for their lives in here.

But also could you imagine me trying to pick 10 photos from a full wedding gallery of 1,000+ images?! I can barely decide what I want for lunch. 😅 (literally still deciding)

So here’s my attempt at sharing a wedding day from start to finish…

It’s giving cheers to forever 🥂✨

The kind of wedding day that feels equal parts timeless + a really, really good time. The first dance of my dreams, and the florals I can’t even!!

From getting ready in the charm of the Rosemount Inn to celebrating at the Isabel Bader this one had all the things I love: beautiful details, real moments, a little editorial magic, and a whole lot of ch*****ne. 🍾

And honestly, that’s the entire vibe.

Heels are off. Ties are questionable. Drinks are in the air. Someone’s aunt is absolutely owning the dance floor. The DJ knows exactly what they’re doing and I’m somewhere in the middle of it all with my camera like YESSSSS. 😂🔥

And you’ll FOR SURE find me standing on a chair at some point — camera in hand, probably doing the trending Lush Life dance while simultaneously trying to get the shot. 😂💃🏼📸

This is the part of the wedding day where absolutely no one cares what they look like anymore — they’re just in it.
