Hello! If we haven't met yet, this is me - Barbara Anne! I'm currently sitting along the Nanaimo River where we love to camp on the summer long weekends... you can see my strawberry blonde hair framing my skin as it gets a little red and my freckles are popping! I used to be insecure about those things... Those things and my name meant I got teased alot as a child and adolescent... I identified as a tomboy and wouldn't have ever said I was pretty...

Not anymore though! I don't think of myself as beautiful... it is such a wierd word to think about when you are thinking about yourself... but I do love and honour all the little things that are unique about me.

Photographing women for a living has shown me that we are all very different from each other, and there is so much I find beautiful in that uniqueness. And I know I am not alone in that observation...

The people around you think you are beautiful for so many different reasons - and they are NOT wrong.

Today - Look in your mirror with kindness - you are filled with more beauty than you realize.
