POV: Photos that make me FEEL something
Looking back on D&J's wedding photos from last summer as I prepare for some upcoming weddings this summer and I really stopped to appreciate why certain images stand out to me
It's rarely the posed, "smile at the camera" photos that give me goosebumps.
It's the in between moments, the pauses, the take a breath times, the private seconds when a couple forgets they are being watched.
And funnily enough, I edited nearly all of my favourites into black and white. I am always drawn to processing certain images in black and white and it's usually because it's a beautiful moment that can be told without a colour story.
I adore photographing weddings because it challenges me to find those real raw moments that couples can keep in their memories forever. To capture the emotions of the day on camera, allowing them to be able to look back and SEE how they felt.
