I may not have seen an owl recently but each encounter I have had has been one I will never forget.

Being labeled the guardians of the forest really speaks volumes to me as I love seeing all the green and different species to which call it home as I’m sure most of you do as well.

Something that blends in so perfectly, flies silently and doesn’t want to be bothered, makes all of us photographer go crazy!

Technically this is a wild animal, Manny the raccoon was a rescue from someone within the city who thought they could keep him as a pet which isn’t right so since he was raised by humans it wasn’t safe to release him into the wild as there is no survival skills developed at a young age.
Some may not like that he is in an enclosure but at least he is alive and well!!

I captured this photo showing he upset look, sadly last year he lost his friend which was 14 years old and you can clearly see he misses the company.

Often over looked but these ring bill gulls serve a big purpose in the eco system, almost like natures cleaning crew. But has anyone really took the time to apply them?
I will admit when I have a different subject in the area I tend to not focus on them but this day I decided why not and I’m glad I did, the detail of there plumage and their eyes are incredible

I have updated the site a bit more to support not only my Wildlife journey but the Zoo work I have done.

The portfolio allows you to choose which category you would like to look at, where as the store page is a mixture of both. If you would like the store page to be separated as well let me know I'm always interested in others opinions to grow myself.

This may seem very common for some but for me this is a rare sighting, a domestic mallard swimming amongst other mallards, the size difference between them is drastic.
From following a female around the pond to swimming with his butt floating I managed to capture this reflection shot to which I’m thrilled to have among the collection.

Everyone has there place that makes the relaxed, decompress, simply just being able to breathe.

Nature has been that place for me for a long time and only strengthened in the last couple years. I often find myself day dreaming while at work on where I’d like to go, the next new place. I hope everyone finds some sort of place or just time to decompress from the day to day stress and be happy that they are still here.

More low level fun with this Spotted sandpiper

I have never really spent a lot of time photographing the smaller shore birds but it has peaked my interest and I found it rather enjoyable, we always have the thought of I don’t want to get dirty and track that into the car but that’s half the fun! If you don’t try it you’ll never see things in a different perspective
