Sometimes you just need to go for a walk to clear your head —->

What started out as a rainy morning turned into some much needed practice

Lately I have been struggling with photography as a whole. Images not coming out as they used despite using the correct settings —->

Lighting couldn’t be more perfect, overcast not harsh direct sun yet my images still come out either blurry, soft with no detail

But something clicked today and I don’t know what I did differently but these Bonaparte gulls allowed me to capture some inflight shots coming in close and far away to practice more inflight shots

As winter approaches I’m really trying my best to plan outings looking for owls and a dream would be to get a sharp detailed photo of one flying during some snow fall

It’s not every day that you have a small muskrat just swim past you on a public trail without a care in the world.

I have never been good at photographing mammals but I’m giving a crack at it and I’m rather pleased with this shot!

- Bay Breasted Warbler

As summer is coming to a close and birds are migrating back south genuinely happy with how this year went.

I may have not gotten the dream / planned photos I had hoped for but that is all apart of the game right?

Ever season will have that target species or photo you constantly chase, for me taking the time to appreciate nature and learn along with building my portfolio is teaching me to get out of my shell and speak to more people ( something I’ve personally struggled with my whole life)

I started this adventure with one goal in mind: to bring beautiful images into people’s homes and offices, to spark some joy, and to remind people that we share this planet with some incredible animals.
As we humans expand, we push them further and further out, sometimes even wiping out entire species. I’m no Steve Irwin, but I do believe that we should respect the habitats these animals call home and, at the very least, stop treating them like pests.
The past three years have certainly been a learning experience — figuring out what works and what doesn’t. I have really enjoyed my time on the Wix platform, but as of April 2027, I will be shutting down the current site. This isn’t just to take some time to work on myself as a new business owner, but also to explore different options and figure out where I want to take JM Photo Prints next.
For those who have taken the time out of your day to view my work, sent me kind messages, shared my work, or even followed this page and my Instagram, I am truly grateful and appreciative of each and every one of you.
This isn’t the end of JM Photo Prints — just a new chapter that I have yet to write.
The site will remain open for viewing and purchasing prints online until the date mentioned above, so if there is an image you’ve had your eye on, you still have time!
I will be building my portfolio yet again, with new adventures ahead, and I hope that when I create the new site, things will be better than they ever were.
