Where the fresh, rushing waters of the Sand River meet the vast, wild expanse of Lake Superior. 🌊🌲

Spent the day exploring one of the most peaceful stretches of shoreline in Lake Superior Provincial Park. From wave-polished pebbles and weathered driftwood to the crystal-clear, icy-cold waves rolling in off the big lake, this beach is pure Northern Ontario magic. There’s nothing quite like listening to Superior’s waves crash against the rocks while the Sand River winds its way quietly past the pines.

Swipe through for endless blue horizons, driftwood hunting, and a little piece of Lake Superior serenity. 📸✨

Pure Superior energy, locked in the frame 🌊📷

High winds and giant waves made for some incredible shooting at Agawa Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park today. Getting down low on the rocks to capture the sheer force of the water smashing into the shoreline—definitely had to watch out for rogue spray on the lens!

Slow shutter or fast freeze—which way would you shoot these waves? Drop a comment below! 👇

Nothing quite compares to the sheer power of Lake Superior when the wind picks up. Spent the day watching massive waves slam against the ancient granite rocks along Agawa Bay. The roar of the water, the cold spray, and that endless horizon make you feel wonderfully small. 🌊🪨✨

Stopped by the Wawa Visitor Centre to see the iconic Giant Goose! 🪿 Highway 17 landmark checked off the list.

Now, I know the sign at the base says "Do Not Climb"... but honestly, how epic would a photo riding this giant goose be? (Don't worry, I stayed on the ground!) 📸✨

If you're ever driving through Northern Ontario, this is a must-stop photo op! 📍 Wawa, Ontario

🌊 Old Woman Bay | Lake Superior Provincial Park

Standing on the shore of Old Woman Bay, you can’t help but feel the immense power and quiet mystery of Lake Superior. Framed by dramatic, towering cliffs rising straight out of the cold, crystal-clear water, this iconic bay is one of the most breathtaking stops along the Algoma coastline.

Whether it's the towering 200-metre rock face looming across the bay—where the face of the "Old Woman" can be spotted in the stone—the pristine sand and cobble shoreline, or the endless horizon stretching out into Gitche Gumee, Old Woman Bay is pure Northern Ontario wilderness at its finest.

Here’s a look at the soaring cliffs, wave-carved shorelines, and incredible views from this unforgettable spot. 📸🪨🌲

🌊 Agawa Bay Shoreline & Cobble Beach | Lake Superior Provincial Park

Few places on Earth match the raw, untamed beauty of Lake Superior’s coast. Walking along the expansive cobble beach at Agawa Bay is a reminder of the sheer power of Gitche Gumee. Smooth, wave-polished stones stretching for miles, crystal-clear turquoise waters rolling in, and massive coastal rock outcroppings framing every view.

From searching the shoreline for unique minerals and colorful cobbles wet from the surf, to listening to the gentle rumble of stones shifting with each wave, this stretch of shoreline never disappoints. And when the sun drops below the horizon, Agawa Bay puts on one of the most incredible sunset shows in Northern Ontario.

Take a walk along the shore with us! 📸🪨🌅
