Last night, just as I was getting ready for bed, I saw a post about the northern lights. I rushed outside to check and sure enough, they were dancing across the sky. ✨ My excitement was instant (I’ve always loved the northern lights), so I woke up my husband and asked if he would chase them with me. He said yes and off we went to a spot nearby. Standing there together under that glowing sky of the aurora borealis was the perfect ending to my weekend.

In case you missed the show (because I almost did), here are a few pictures for you. 💜

Captured right here in Kingston, Ontario. you would have loved this view.

Once an Oiler, always an Oiler! 💙🧡

I was born and raised in Edmonton, and some of my favourite memories are cheering on the Oilers with my family and marking student work while watching games back when I was a teacher!

Even though life has taken me to Newfoundland & Labrador after getting married, and now to beautiful Kingston, Ontario where we call home, my loyalty hasn’t changed. This girl is still an Oilers fan through and through!

Fun fact: On our wedding day, we made a stop between getting married and our photos to meet Grant Fuhr at United Cycle while he was signing autographs. That’s how deep the Oilers love runs in this family. 💍🏒

I even made this custom plate for my husband (a die-hard fan) at Crock A Doodle and now our oldest daughter is proudly carrying on the tradition with her latest school art project.

Let’s Go Oilers! 🧡🔥💙

I believe deeply in getting our images out of their digital hiding spots and into our hands, our homes, and our hearts. Whether it’s an album on your coffee table or frames on your wall, your family’s story deserves to be seen and remembered.

Now, I won’t pretend I’ve got it all perfectly together - I’m currently four years behind on our family albums! But I’m slowly catching up. Today, our 2020: A Year in Pictures album arrived (thank you !), and even though it’s late, it feels so, so good.

Creating this one was emotional. 2020 was a heavy year for many of us. For my little crew, it was a year of slowing down, connecting, and honestly, handling a global pandemic better than I thought we would. But flipping through the pages brought back the bittersweet moments, too - especially saying goodbye to our sweet Seamus, who was with us for 14 years. These photos are a reminder of just how much we felt, lived, and loved that year.

These albums are a true labour of love. Hours spent culling, editing, designing… but the joy of watching my kids flip through the pages? Worth it.

Because I believe so strongly in printing our memories, every one of my client collections includes a print credit—so your family’s love and connection doesn’t stay trapped on a screen, but gets to live where it belongs: on your walls and in your hands.

Kingston, you’ve been through it. Just a couple weeks ago, ice covered everything - trees bowed and broke, power flickering (or gone completely), and our routines completely upended.
⁣
But even then, there was beauty. Branches dressed in crystal, streets glowing in the winter light, and a quiet that asked us to slow down.
⁣
Now, spring is here. The snow has melted, birds are singing again, and there’s warmth in the air. The storm left its mark, but so did the stillness.
⁣
Here’s to resilience, renewal, and finding beauty in every season.

Finding Beauty in the Simple Moments

Winter has a way of slowing us down - inviting us to step outside, breathe in the crisp air, and notice the little things. The way the snowflakes settle on trees. The warmth of tiny fingers wrapped around a mug of hot cocoa. The quiet magic of footprints trailing behind an afternoon adventure.

These are the moments that make up your story - the little joys that deserve to be remembered. ✨

So bundle up, soak in the season, and don’t forget to document your days - whether that’s through a quick snapshot, a scribbled note, or simply pausing to take it all in.

Because one day, you’ll look back and realize—these were the days worth remembering. 💙
