After almost a decade together Maize, our corn 🌽 🐕 dog, crossed over the rainbow bridge returning to heaven October 18th just after 10 pm.
She was a rescue that truly rescued me....she joined me thousands of miles across our nation a few times; galloping across open fields, hiking in deep forests/mountains, wading in oceans/lakes/rivers/streams, and joyfully posing in over 800 photos within all of that life.
Her calm presence gave me steady unconditional love when everything else was shifting. She changed the lives of the diversabled, the elderly and more. She never made a fuss even in her last days when she was so very courageous and brave.
I just didn't lose my best friend in Maize... I lost a witness to my life during some of the hardest and most beautiful years.
She was an angel ... angel's don't always stay forever but they leave something behind that changes how you see the world.
Thank you Maize for giving me a view of the world through your kind heart and old spirit eyes.... I will dearly miss you my dear 🌽 🐕.
