Starting my business 2 years ago has brought so many wonderful people into my life. Trusted collaborators who are part of my studio family, amazing clients who have become dear friends, fellow entrepreneurs I’ve met through the Chamber of Commerce, and a peer group of photographers and creatives from around the world that I’ve met by investing in industry-specific mentorship and education.

I spent the weekend in my pjs recovering from a whirlwind of a week and reflecting on how incredibly grateful I am for the midlife plot twist that brought me right here, to Fredericton NB, doing what I love surrounded by the best people. ❤️

Some of my favorites from Alison’s family shoot! ✨

Alison, Josh, and their daughter Abby were my first family portrait clients when I started my business in 2024. What an honour to welcome them back for updated portraits this fall!

We started in the studio with hair and makeup and some beautiful mother-daughter portraits, then headed to Odell Park for family photos on a backdrop of gorgeous fall colours. 🍂 We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

I love watching families grow and it’s such a privilege to be invited back to capture another chapter of their story.

I dreamed of an evening where the women I photograph could meet one another—where we could gather around their portraits, share their stories, and celebrate everything it means to be over 40.

Last week, that dream came true. ✨

To the extraordinary women of 40 Over 40, Volume I, thank you for having the courage to be seen and for trusting me to capture you. And thank you to everyone who came to celebrate them. The warmth and joy in that room meant so much to me.

I hope every woman who sees her portrait sees what I do: her beauty and worth, and the life that led her here.

Volume II is now booking with our next exhibit scheduled for March 2027. If you’re over 40 and ready to be photographed and celebrated as you are today, drop me a line. I’d love to tell you about the experience. 🤍

A few of my favorites of beautiful Shannon! ✨

Shannon came in recently for her 40 Over 40 portrait session, and we so enjoyed having her in the studio! Her creativity and strong sense of style made the shoot effortless, and I love the personality she brought to every frame.

You don’t need a milestone or a special occasion to have beautiful photographs of yourself. Sometimes the best reason is simply because you’re worth it.

A day to be pampered, dress up, try something different, and celebrate the woman you are right now.
