My kids are off school today and I have started this post 7 times. We are now sitting in an arena parking lot playing in the snow piles and they finally seem content and I’m hoping writing this doesn’t break the peace. I just spent the weekend visiting my grandma who has dementia. We spent a lot of the time with her just flipping through photos and reminding her of who everyone was. This is only one reason why I believe my job of documenting families is important. There are many reasons in fact. This one is just top of mind. Also top of mind was how unique and lovely the pierce family was. They had quiet strength to their family that was beautiful to capture.

This is a long one, which is probably against Instagram etiquette but sharing what a session can look like is important and I’m Always and forever booking in home newborn sessions. where I join you in that Newborn bubble after you welcome your little one home. There is nothing quite like that period of time where we can slow down and savour every perfect little feature and the new chapter your family has started.
