Is there a better way to launch into ownership of a beautiful 1970 Ford Club Wagon Chateau? Had an absolute blast with this beast today and drove my first miles with the old “three on the tree” down from Paul Lake. Not the easiest vehicle in the twisties. This thing is gonna get a lot of time in front of the camera between Remi Raymond and I. Though we may be giving it a rest for tomorrows stages of the Classic Car Adventures Rush to Gold Bridge as there’s a few items that need sorting before we we get too to deep into the BC backcountry.

Here’s to the warm glow of old halogen lights, gently diffused through fluted glass lenses and illuminating little chambers of amber and red with the charm of old lanterns.

I find myself a little sentimental lately for the amber glow from old street lamps and car lights in a world that is mostly now lit with bright white LEDs.
