Kids at weddings seems like a controversial topic sometimes but there are ways to make sure the most important people to YOU will be in so many photos and parts of your day. Also you’ll get to enjoy the day alongside them and with a little pre planning it doesn’t need to be stressful. These two did a fantastic job of planning an incredible wedding and also a day that celebrated them as a family. By including breaks for their kids and a support of people to help, the kids got to be present for so much of the day.
We were inspired to create a post that highlights tips incase other couples might find helpful too!
If you are thinking of including your little ones then SAVE these tips for later, and share this with a bride-to-be who needs to hear this!

Under theatre lights these two said their wedding vows and it was perfect.
I’ve just sent off the teaser gallery and wanted to take some time to show off a few images from their day just one week ago. Also the sunset that we had planned on did not disappoint even after the ever changing forecast that was May Long this year in Alberta .
Special thanks to Avonroy gardens for allowing us to come shoot in their greenhouse for a much appreciated warm and gorgeous location!

Oh my lanta was this day cold .. yes ! did it matter … nope!
Loved getting to know these two and create their gorgeous winter wonderland engagement images out at .events before their wedding there this fall! Very thankful for cozy and warm indoor spots as well as getting to play in all the new snow outside the venue.
The fresh dry snow, which was artistically snow blown in to the background of the last images of the shoot (thank you sparrow lane for helping us out with our idea!) was just excellent timing of snow removal happening during the session and made for a bit of extra magic.

A February wedding to remember!
It’s not often in the winter that we can shoot all the outdoor portraits without full winter gear but Alberta has been gifting us a lot more warms days than cold ones this year! This day was centred on these two as a couple but also on family and we are so excited to show off just a little glimpse into the day that they put together.
