J and R first reached out with ideas to elope in Banff but after seeing an open date we had in Norway last month they decided to join us and get married in one of our favourite destinations!

When looking for her dress, J told us nothing was really feeling like the one. When her mother finally convinced her to try on her wedding dress from the 80’s and with a little help from her sister, they came up with an idea to redesign it. You can see the original dress on slide 4.

It was absolutely perfect for running through mountainous roads and exploring the trails of this unbelievable place.

Let’s talk about wildfire smoke…

It has become a new normal in our landscapes over the summer months. And with that, we have had a lot of couples reach out to us a little concerned about what that means for their photos.

The truth is, a lot of our photos have smoke in them, even some of our most loved. It creates a beautiful softness to the images, adds dimension in the frame and filters the light in a dreamy way.

So if there is smoke in the air on your wedding day, don’t worry, it might just make it even more magical.

On the shore of a lake down a winding dirt road deep in the Rockies, Scout and Pip’s moms got married.

Without going into too many details, we ended up with a plan A, B and C for this adventure and somehow we ended up exactly where we were all meant to be.

Camping under the stars, cooking food over fire, watching the dogs play under a burning sunset sky, hiking high above the peaks and enjoying every last second of light that these long mountain days gave us.

What a privilege to have witnessed this adventure 🐕⛰️💍

A few images from the most magical place on earth.

We were so lucky to visit the Lofoten Islands earlier this month for two elopements, and once again we were blown away by the views of this remote northern landscape.

We lucked out with some beautiful weather allowing us to hike through the night, lit by the golden midnight sun, explore endless coastlines and kayak in the arctic sea.

The start of summer brought green fields blanketed with wildflowers and a hiking soundtrack of 24 hour birdsong.
A whirlwind of a trip that left it feeling like a dream.

A magical day in the Rockies where we got every single type of weather imaginable. From clouds to sun and even a dash of hail to keep things spicy. But the cherry on top was a beautiful rare evening of low winds so we could end the night at 10,000ft. A magical day from start to finish. Thank you so much for having us N and M.
