One last trip to Moraine Lake for the season, and somehow I’m still not tired of this view.

I’ve spent so much time here over the years, helping couples plan elopements, chasing the light, watching the weather roll through, and finding all the little moments that make each day feel completely different.

I genuinely love planning elopements here. There’s something really special about helping two people create a wedding day that feels less like a production and more like an adventure they get to experience together.

Until next year, Moraine Lake. I’ll miss you.

I’ve run into Honor and Cole at not one, but two weddings this year, so naturally I felt inspired to dig these out of the archives — from their wedding THREE years ago.

My advice to newlyweds? Jump on the bed. Get in the tub. Roll around on the luggage cart. Hide in the elevator.

Do the weird, spontaneous, slightly ridiculous things together.

It makes for some pretty fun times as newlyweds… and even better photos.

September weddings have been giving me a little bit of everything lately.

Sunshine, wind, rain, cold, warm, and occasionally all of the above within the same hour. Mountain weather really does love keeping us humble.

But honestly? The best part has been the couples. The ones who are willing to pivot when the weather throws a curveball, trust me when I suggest a change, or sometimes just grab an umbrella and laugh their way through the rain.

Because the weather doesn’t have to ruin the day. Sometimes it becomes part of the story.

Like the last slide — not exactly the plan, but somehow one of my favourite moments.

Give me a couple who can laugh in the rain over perfect weather any day.
