Good editing takes time.

Some sessions I know exactly where I want an image to go. Other times, I need to step away and come back with fresh eyes.

These photos were a perfect example. We were all so excited about them that I edited them quickly on a Sunday morning so they could be shared. After being away from them for a couple of days, I saw them differently — and I think, better.

That space matters. It helps me see colour, skin tones, consistency and the overall feeling of an image more clearly.

Here, the warmer edit clearly wins for me. It feels more like my work — warm, earthy and connected — and ultimately, photography is very much about feeling for me.

Sometimes good editing isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing when to step away and come back.

✨ Would you book this? ✨

I’m dreaming up something a little different for fall + Christmas this year… and before I start hauling hay bales, pumpkins, Christmas trees and an unreasonable amount of twinkle lights around, I want to know if you’re into it. 😂

The vintage trailer is real and will be the heart of the set. These images are AI-generated mock-ups to help show the overall vision — the final setups won’t be exact replicas, but this is the vibe I’m envisioning:

🍂 Fall: warm, rustic, western-inspired with pumpkins, mums, hay bales or a rocking chair, cozy plaids and golden autumn tones.

🎄 Christmas: nostalgic, cozy and a little bit country — evergreens, warm lights, tartan, vintage details and all the Christmas magic.

I’m considering offering these as limited mini sessions this fall/holiday season.

Which would you book — FALL, CHRISTMAS, or BOTH?

If there’s enough interest, I’ll start putting the real sets together. 🤎

Images shown are AI concept mock-ups for inspiration. The vintage trailer pictured/inspiration for the sets is real; final styling will vary.

Family photos, Farm-core, but make it feral.

A little mud, questionable wardrobe choices, lawn chairs, an old Ford, and absolutely zero interest in behaving for the camera.

Also, yes — this is my actual family. 😂
And baby’s face is intentionally blurred for privacy. 🤍

Give me your people, your weird ideas, and the things that actually feel like you.

Sunrise or sunset?

I was out walking the dogs this morning, watching the sky turn pink, and found myself thinking about how differently these two kinds of light feel.

Sunset gets so much love — and for good reason. It’s warm, golden, romantic and a little dramatic.

But sunrise? There’s something softer about it. Quieter. The colours can be incredible, the world feels almost still, and there’s something pretty special about being out there before the day has really begun.

And apparently this is what happens when you’re a photographer… even a morning dog walk turns into thinking about light. 😂

So I’m curious — if you were booking a photo session, would you choose sunrise or sunset?

Okayyy… but imagine your session HERE. 🤎✨

Warm leather, beautiful light, a little western edge and a whole lot of character.

For the days when we want something a little different than an open field at golden hour — this gorgeous greenhouse studio might just be the perfect backdrop.

One more piece of this beautiful session…

Some love stories deserve a little dust on the boots and a sunset worth chasing. 🤎

This is the kind of session I love most—beautiful light, wide-open spaces, and the little in-between moments that feel completely like you.

No stiff posing. No pressure to know what to do in front of the camera. Just the two of you, a little direction from me, and space for the real connection to happen.

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to have photos together, this is it.

Couples sessions are booking now.

You don’t have to know how to pose.
You don’t have to be comfortable in front of the camera.
You just have to show up as yourselves.

A little flirting. A lot of laughing. And the kind of moments that feel like you.

That’s what I want you to remember when you look back at your photos—not how you stood or where you put your hands, but how it felt to be together.

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to book the photos, this is it. 🤎

Not just graduation pictures. A little piece of who she is right now.

Because someday, these will be the moments she looks back on and remembers exactly who she was.

Why I Do This…💓

I became a photographer because of how one photo session made me feel.

For a little while, I wasn’t focused on how I looked, what I didn’t like about myself, or all the things I thought I should change.

I just felt good about me.

And that feeling stayed with me.

It made me realize that photography can be so much more than beautiful pictures. It can remind us of how we felt, how we loved, how we showed up, and how beautiful we really are—even when we don’t always see it ourselves.

That’s what I want to give to my clients.

I want you to walk away from your session feeling confident, seen, and genuinely good about yourself.

Because sometimes, we all need someone to show us what others already see.
