A toy car is fast. Water is faster to react. Here’s what happens when they meet.

Using the Chronos Q12 high-speed camera, this footage captures a toy car tearing through a spray of water in extreme slow motion, revealing every droplet and ripple in its wake.

High-speed imaging turns a split-second moment into something you can study frame by frame, showing details of motion, splashes, and spray that the naked eye never catches.

The Chronos Q12 is built for high-frame-rate performance at standard resolutions, providing the speed needed to capture fast-moving phenomena with the detail required for analysis.

You’ve seen balloons pop, but have you seen it at 2,313 frames per second?

Using the Chronos Q12 high-speed camera, this footage captures a water balloon rupturing in extreme slow motion, revealing the skin tearing and the water holding its shape for a split second before gravity takes over.

Water balloons are a perfect subject for high-speed imaging: the rupture happens in milliseconds, far too fast for the naked eye, but at thousands of frames per second every stage of the burst becomes visible.

The Chronos Q12 is built for high-frame-rate performance at standard resolutions, providing the speed needed to capture fast-moving phenomena with the detail required for analysis.

You can see the flame in real time, but what about the air moving around it?

Using schlieren imaging and the Chronos Q12 high-speed camera, this footage reveals the otherwise invisible changes in air density and airflow as a candle is blown out.

Schlieren imaging makes subtle variations in air density visible, providing a powerful way to study airflow, thermal plumes, and other fluid-dynamic phenomena that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

The Chronos Q12 is built for high-frame-rate performance at standard resolutions, providing the speed needed to capture fast-moving phenomena with the detail required for analysis.
