Before you update your services page, let’s talk about the photos you actually need.

Because your services page should do more than explain what you offer. It should help people picture what it feels like to work with you.

A strong services page usually needs a few key images: a warm expert portrait, a behind-the-scenes shot of your process, a photo that reflects the client experience, and a few detail images that bring your brand to life.

These photos help your website feel more personal, more trustworthy, and more like you.

If your services page is getting a refresh, this is a great time to update your brand photos too. Let’s create images that support the work you’re already doing.

Good lighting does more than just make the photo brighter.

Soft light can smooth the appearance of fine lines, soften shadows, and give the skin a beautiful glow. More directional light creates stronger contrast and a bolder, more defined look.

Neither is better than the other. It all depends on how you want your brand photos to feel and what helps you feel most confident in front of the camera.

Let’s create brand photos that make you look and feel your best.

Sometimes your photos just don’t feel like you anymore.

Not because anything is wrong with them, but because you’ve grown. Your business has grown. The way you show up, lead, and connect with people has shifted.

Your brand photos should reflect the woman you are now, not the version of you from a few years ago.

That’s what I love about brand photography. It gives you images that feel aligned, confident, and true to where you are in your business.

If you’re ready for photos that feel more like the leader you’ve become, I’d love to help.

Ever feel awkward sitting for photos?

You’re definitely not alone. Looking natural in a seated portrait usually comes down to a few small adjustments, like sitting tall, relaxing your shoulders, angling your body, knowing what to do with your hands, and leaning forward just a little.

The good news? You don’t have to figure it out on your own. I’ll guide you through it so your photos feel comfortable, confident, and like you.

Your About page should do more than show one nice photo of you.

Yes, a strong portrait matters. But your website visitors also want to get a feel for who you are, how you work, and what it might be like to work with you.

That’s where a mix of brand photos makes such a difference.

✔ A portrait helps build trust.
✔ A working image shows what you do.
✔ A personality photo makes you feel more approachable and real.

Together, they help your About page tell a fuller story, without making your visitors guess.

If your website only has one photo of you, this might be your sign to update it with images that feel more like you.

Ready to create brand photos that actually support your website? Let’s plan it together.

Outfits are important for a brand photoshoot, but they’re only part of the story.

The little things you bring with you can make your photos feel so much more personal. Your laptop, notebook, favourite mug, products, tools, packaging, client materials, or anything you use often in your business can help show what your work actually feels like.

These details make your photos feel less posed and more like you. They also give you more variety for your website, social media, and marketing.

So when you’re planning your next brand session, don’t just think about what you’ll wear. Think about what helps tell your story.

Your hands are part of your story, too.

In brand photos, it’s not always about standing still and smiling at the camera. Sometimes the best images happen when you’re doing something that feels natural.

Writing notes. Holding your tools. Adjusting a product. Walking someone through your process.

Those little moments can show care, creativity, confidence, leadership, and the way you serve your clients without you having to explain it all.

Swipe through to see what your hands can say in a brand photo.

Save this for the next time you are trying to figure what to do with your hands!

I don’t just choose a backdrop because it looks pretty.

When I’m setting up a brand session, I’m always thinking about how the colour, texture, light, and overall feel of the backdrop will support the message you want your photos to send.

Sometimes that means keeping things clean and simple. Sometimes it means choosing something with a little more warmth or personality. Either way, the goal is always the same: to make sure you stand out and your brand feels clear, polished, and true to you.

The right backdrop may seem like a small detail, but it can make a big difference in how your images feel.

Ready for brand photos that feel intentional and actually feel like you? Book a session and let’s create them together.
