🎄 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗦 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦! 🎄⁣
⁣
Many of you have asked, so here are some Christmas colour palettes to help you plan your outfits!⁣
⁣
Remember, these colours don’t have to be solid! They can be incorporated into a plaid shirt, a sweater, a dress, or even accessories.⁣
⁣
A 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙨 to help pull everyone’s outfits together:⁣
⁣
▫️Don’t overdo the patterns! One or two patterned pieces are plenty. Pull colours from those patterns for everyone else’s outfits.⁣
⁣
▫️Think about your basics! The camel, beige, black, and blue shades in the palettes are often great options for pants. Think denim for blue or khakis for beige and camel.⁣
⁣
▫️Mix textures and layers! Knits, corduroy, denim, sweaters, and different fabrics add dimension and photograph beautifully together.⁣
⁣
▫️Don’t forget the shoes! They will likely be visible at some point during your session, so make sure they work with your outfits.⁣
⁣
▫️A little tip for the littles! Overalls are absolutely adorable, but if your little one is still being held a lot, they can ride up! Make sure they fit comfortably and try holding and sitting them in their outfit beforehand.⁣
⁣
▫️Coordinate, don’t match! Everyone doesn’t need to wear the exact same colours. Choose a few shades from a palette and spread them throughout the family’s outfits.⁣

▫️Comfort matters! Especially for the kids. If they’re comfortable and can move around easily, it makes for much happier photos!⁣

• 𝗠𝗶𝘅 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀. Different fabrics, layers and textures photograph beautifully and add interest without making things feel too busy.⁣

• 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲? Start there! Pull a few colours from the pattern and use those shades for everyone else.⁣

• 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀! We’ll be walking around to different spots, so make sure everyone is comfortable — but remember, shoes are part of the outfit too!⁣

• 𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀: When you see khaki or beige, that can easily be your pants or bottoms. And when you see blues, denim is always a great option! You don’t need every colour in the palette represented perfectly.⁣

It’s been awhile since I posted a photo of my “little” family on the feed.

Did we fight until these photos? Yes.
Did I forget my phone to do the remote trigger and compare our old photo? Yes.
Did I buy any new clothes so they were a little better planned? No
hahaha but I’m not striving for perfection, im looking for these moments to be frozen in time because as you can tell they grow way too fast. I’m just grateful. 2021-2026 went really fast.
