Another perfect day at Woodbine Racetrack watching some fabulous 2 year olds show their stuff. Sunday Finery (4) ridden by Sahin Civaci came home first in the G3 Mazarine Stakes for trainer Jamie Begg. The big grey Bunyan ((3) won race 6 for Kevin Attard Racing Stable, a Maiden Special Weight, with jockey Fraser Aebly up. Then, Speaker's Speech (2) came home first in a 1-2 finish for Gold Standard Racing Stable and trainer Mark Casse in the G3 Grey Stakes, riden by Rafael Hernandez.

April 18, 2026, opening day at Woodbine Racetrack. I decided to do something different this year, and went to the backside to catch the leadup (and walk back) for the first race from there. I was so glad I did....so many smiles, hugs, fist bumps, and overall excitement for everyone to be back racing. Congratulations to the connections of Haley's Honor and trainer Steven Chircop for the win to start the season. They certainly looked the part for opening day!

April 8 - morning works. Please tag away! I'd also love to know who some of the horses are! Another batch will be shared tomorrow.

WELCOME BACK! I've been quiet on Facebook this winter, but never to worry....with opening day less than 2 weeks away that's about to change! I had the (cold) pleasure of my first morning back shooting works on April 8th, and the horses, people, and lighting all came together to help me make some images I'm excited about. Here's a quick tease...more to come later today!
