I always love reading a new intake form, but sometimes, I get over the moon.
From the moment I read Nele’s story, I was hooked. The way she described what she was looking for felt so close to how I approach my work. The words she used were the same words clients often use to describe my style. And even more than that: the brand she was about to launch wasn’t just a match on a professional level, but on a personal level as well.
Nele started from her own unfulfilled needs. The frustration she had felt for years trying to find swimwear that looks good, but also supports a larger cup with a smaller band size. And honestly? Same.
Even on my latest vacation on Madeira, when a wave hit me, I couldn’t help but smile and think “I’m in desperate need of an Ona Una bikini”.
So of course, this couldn’t just be a nice shoot. We had to build a strong launch story around it. The collection is amazing, so the imagery had to be nothing less. I loved that Nele didn’t want to launch with “just enough” imagery. She wanted the visuals to reflect the quality, feeling and ambition of the brand from the very beginning.
We built a strong team perfect for the job, booked some flights to Portugal and scouted several fitting locations that matched the brand, ending up with an extensive photo and video gallery of launch content that exactly tells her story: premium swimwear you wear on vacation to feel stylish yet confident, sexy yet comfortable.
It was an absolute pleasure to build this shoot for Ona Una, and I’m really happy to see it launch very soon.
