I always love reading a new intake form, but sometimes, I get over the moon.

From the moment I read Nele’s story, I was hooked. The way she described what she was looking for felt so close to how I approach my work. The words she used were the same words clients often use to describe my style. And even more than that: the brand she was about to launch wasn’t just a match on a professional level, but on a personal level as well.

Nele started from her own unfulfilled needs. The frustration she had felt for years trying to find swimwear that looks good, but also supports a larger cup with a smaller band size. And honestly? Same.

Even on my latest vacation on Madeira, when a wave hit me, I couldn’t help but smile and think “I’m in desperate need of an Ona Una bikini”.

So of course, this couldn’t just be a nice shoot. We had to build a strong launch story around it. The collection is amazing, so the imagery had to be nothing less. I loved that Nele didn’t want to launch with “just enough” imagery. She wanted the visuals to reflect the quality, feeling and ambition of the brand from the very beginning.

We built a strong team perfect for the job, booked some flights to Portugal and scouted several fitting locations that matched the brand, ending up with an extensive photo and video gallery of launch content that exactly tells her story: premium swimwear you wear on vacation to feel stylish yet confident, sexy yet comfortable.

It was an absolute pleasure to build this shoot for Ona Una, and I’m really happy to see it launch very soon.

The strongest jewellery collection shoots don’t just show the product.

They create a world around it.

A world that makes the pieces feel more desirable, more memorable and more connected to the story behind the brand.

That’s why creative direction matters so much in brand photography and product photography. It’s not about making the production bigger or more complicated. It’s about knowing which choices will carry the right feeling, from the colours and props to the light, styling and final edit.

For this shoot, the inspiration was Greek mythology. But the goal was never to make it look like a costume or a theme.

The goal was to translate the feeling behind the collection into imagery that felt refined, contemporary and true to the brand.

A wellness brand should feel like an experience before someone even books.

Not just through photos of the space or the treatment itself, but through the atmosphere around it: the warmth, the quiet, the textures, the small rituals, the feeling of being taken care of.

That’s what I focus on when creating a brand gallery for experience-driven brands.

Not just: “what does this place look like?”
But: “why would someone want to be here?”

Because strong brand images don’t only show your offer. They make people feel it.

For , a private wellness near Ghent, the focus was on capturing the feeling of slowing down: the relaxation of the space, the softness of the bathrobes, the scrubbing salt in the hammam, the fresh glass of prosecco, and all the tiny details that make the experience feel intentional.

This is why wellness brand photography needs more than beautiful interior shots. It needs rhythm, atmosphere, human presence and details that translate the full experience into visuals.

And honestly, when editing a gallery like this puts me in a more relaxed mood, I know the images are doing what they were meant to do: bringing the feeling of being there into the brand’s visual story.

Most brands don’t run out of content, they run out of variation.

They keep showing the same product in the same light, with the same feeling, so even when the images are beautiful, it starts to feel repetitive faster than it should.

This is the same bag, shot across different moments during the same shoot in Portugal. We started in the city, where everything feels a bit more structured and refined, and moved towards golden hour at the beach, where the light softens and the mood becomes more relaxed, almost effortless.

Nothing about the product changed, but the context did. And that shift changes how it’s perceived.

For a brand like .leather , rooted in a travel lifestyle, that variation isn’t just a nice extra, it’s essential. The product needs to feel at home in different moments, different places, different rhythms. It needs to move.

That’s what makes a brand feel elevated: not just consistency, but nuance.

It allows your visuals to feel layered, and your content to last longer without ever feeling repetitive. More importantly, it turns your images into something people don’t just scroll past, but step into.

A Brand Experience Shoot is never about the treatments you offer.

It’s not about your facials, your haircuts, your manicures or your massages. Frankly, it isn’t even about you.

A Brand Experience Shoot is all about what your client feels when she’s in your space. The sense of calm while stepping through your doorstep, the kind smile that lights her day as you greet her, the precision she’s taken care with.

Of course the massages deserve a place in that, as long as the images not only make people see what they’re getting, but they make them feel it.

This applies to beauty salons, of course, but to way more than that. If you run a fashion store, I’m sure you know exactly what you want your clients to feel when they enter your sanctuary. Same goes for a Pilates studio, a coffee shop, a boutique hotel,… I could go on for a while :)
