It’s been 7 years since we moved, 7 years living in a house with white walls. A while ago I purchased two framed prints from a fellow photographer, the first images ever to go up on our walls and people couldn’t understand why I didn’t put up any of my own work ? Even my wife said “People will always as if that is your work? And you will have to explain why it isn’t…“

It’s one of those creative block things, too critical of your own work…. But I listened and took a dive into my image archives, contacted a local supplier and ordered some frames. After posting the results online, your reactions made me smile!

While offering my own prints is on of those checkboxes on my long running todo list that never got ticked, this whole crisis makes us entrepreneurs switch up our game, act faster, stop delaying, survival mode ON I guess …. So after putting in a couple of late nights I now have my own shop up and running offering a curated selection of fine art framed prints, ready to decorate your home or that non inspiring blank office wall.

Some creative fun yesterday. set myself the goal to create something in under 3h. This took 1h of shooting (including setup) and and 2h of editing. Shot handheld on the with the help of some video lights.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and successful 2020! 🥳🎄 2019 was a wild photography ride. one that brought me to new places and showed me plenty of new faces and friends. A year about finding balance between my photography and other freelance activities. A year about finding a new interest and learning new skills. But those self thought skills don’t mean a thing if you don’t DO something with them. So my resolution for 2020... make time, create more, share more.

I really wanted the castle backdrop shot because the wedding venue was just around the corner. At the time of shooting Ghent was swarming with tourist and we were on a clock (aren’t we always). While I normally try to get as much as possible right in camera I didn’t want to loose 15minutes here so I grabbed a bunch of frames figuring I’d get lucky or wing it in photoshop afterwards... But honestly this would have taken me hours to complete (if it wasn’t above my PS skills set to begin with) I never expected this as a result, absolutely bonkers!
