See you again in August between the Dahlia's? 😏
The first edition of the spring minisessions was so much fun, I am already thinking about the next one. I got to photograph portraits, families, little ones, the special bond between grandma & granddaughter, all between the blooming flowers on the field of Petit Flaneur 🌻 💐. A day spent in nature with the sun on my face (paid the price for that later 😂) and going home with a beautiful bouquet. The perfect sunday ✨

I already received messages about the next edition that would take place on a sunday in August, when the gorgeous Dahlia's are in full bloom. Think high flowers with bright colours that will really pop in your photos and bouquet. 20 minutes of spontaneous photos while you frollick between the flowers whilst picking your own bouquet. Sounds like the perfect sunday to you?

I can't describe how words like this make me feel. There is not a single day that I take my job for granted. I was put on this planet to do what I do, and that is make people feel intensely happy and special by taking beautiful, timeless photos of them during there keymoments and milestones in life. I appreciate you all & your words so much 💛

I will never take my job and who made it possible for granted 🫶
Running a creative business needs guts, energy, money, calm (lol), time & space, but most importantly: the sweetest clients who trust & believe in me. Who keep coming back session after sesison and recommend me to friends and family. Heck, even GIFT me to friends and family. You know who you are and I appreciate you and love you 💛

Woon je in de buurt van het Gentse en zoek je een manier om je mama of partner dit jaar echt in de bloemetjes te zetten? Als lokale fotografe zie ik dagelijks hoe waardevol quality time is. Daarom heb ik een lijstje samengesteld met de leukste activiteiten in ons mooie Gent om samen met je mama of partner te doen.

1. Uitgebreide Brunch in het centrum
Enkele van mijn persoonlijke favorieten die iets speciaals voorzien op Moederdag:

- .gent organiseert een heuze moederdagbrunch in hun serre.
- voor een brunchbuffet met bottemless cava
- Het fancy organiseert een culinaire ervaring in om mama's te vieren.

2. Een gezellige namiddag in de pluktuin

The urban city wedding of D & J ✨

This couple lives in & loves Brussels so much, you could feel it every second of their gorgeous weddingday.
The first look in a hidden alley close to their appartment, the wave as they passed their favourite coffeeshop on their way to the breathtaking cityhall, the iconic & personal favourite spots where we went for couplephotos, a takeaway pizza of their favorite place for lunch to eat on a pittoresque square in the sun. It was perfect.

Thank you for the honours of capturing & witnessing this beautiful day in our capital 🫶📸

I probably should not be typing this but here we go 🙈

🌞 I never ever use a camera strap. I used it years ago and it limits me so much in movement and angles. When I shoot weddings I do have a harness to use 2 camera's, both otherwise always handheld. And no, I haven't dropped my camera, it is almost literally glued to my hand 😎

🌞 Cleaning my lens with literally WHATEVER is close

🌞 Working for free or a low fee is not always a bad thing. My best marketing up to this day is meeting people in person, getting to know them & talking about our values. That connection is so much stronger than the internet, and meeting people irl through cool projects has gotten me a lot of paid jobs. Same goes with specific portfolio shoots that has gotten me dream clients as a result. But always decide for yourself if the possible gain is worth the budget.

🌞 I could shoot with the same gear until the day I die. I do not care about the latest and the newest, what works for me works for me and saves me a lot of money and the planet a lot of resources 🤸‍♀️

🌞 I bought most of my photography gear in the past secondhand. I ofcourse tested everything and saw the shuttercount, but I will always buy secondhand everywhere I can.

🌞 I definitely have forgotten clients names during a job. Not on purpose, I am just horrible with names and my brain goes everywhere when I create 🫠

🌞 When I photograph skitrips, I usually just put my camera in the pocket of my jacket for easy access. Thank goth I am a pro and never fall 😎

🌞 Half of my in debt camerasettings are on default. If it works, it works 😂

🌞 My definition of being professional is becoming best friends with my clients 🤷‍♀️

🌞 Only doing a doubleback up of photos when I was already 4 years in business 🙈

She decorated her own shoes with flowers, painted the welcome sign and baked her own weddingcake (and yes, it was delicious) and can you spot the homemade lemoncello during the party? 🍋

Couples like D&M you don't forget. We had so much fun taking photos in flowerfields & meadows. Can you even tell we were in the midst of a heatwave and sweating our ass off?

What a warm group of friends & family to photograph & be welcomed in to.

Weddings like these is why I do what I do.

8 f-king years. Where did time go?!

I remember trying to figure out how to get started as a 20 year old back in 2018. I had finished my photography degree & topped it off with a videojournalism bachelor. Storytelling has always been in my blood, but with these two educations, I became a storytelling pro.

So eternally grateful for every story I got to tell, big or small. From the first clients through friends who believed in me, to complete strangers who trust me & my work completely. You have no idea what it has all meant to me so far. Thank you for tagging along for the ride 🫶

A lot has changed in 8 years, and I have the feeling an equal amount will change within 2026. Big things are coming up; new concepts, big projects, all to provide you with a better service and to have your legacy beautifully portrayed.
