Angellscapes Photography Pictorials of things I find interesting.

I haven't had a decent camera in over 5 years and recently (finally) got myself a Digital SLR in the form of the AWESOME PENTAX K5. I've started this page to separate my photos from my personal facebook and my other page, Illawarra Stormchasers - https://www.facebook.com/IllawarraStormchasers

The kindy kids at Barrack Heights Public School are trying so hard to raise money to help the homeless this Christmas. Any donation would be appreciated

Thanks to and for a great day at the Snakepit - Brock and his mate Finn (and at least 100 other kids) had a great day training with a bunch Basketball Illawarra young players/future stars as well as a few Hawks NBL1 men & women players too. they also got to hang with some of the NBL Hawks team for the last session being Tyler Harvey, Dan Grida, Todd Blanchfield and new recruit but already a star, Bwali Bayles.

Aurora Australis is visible, and quite easily seen with the naked eye as a pink hue to the southern sky tonight. Taken from my backyard deep in the middle of Blackbutt NSW looking south (that is why they are called the southern lights!)

Excepted to peak in the next couple hours, you can capture pics from your mobile devices (like these) or your cameras using long exposures and higher ISO settings.

These are all Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, these range from 8 to 15 second exposures and 1600 ISO using the PRO mode on the camera.

Ideally too, get somewhere you can see south and not have light pollution, this will make the experience even more thrilling and visible, not only to your eyes but the camera too.

Fire and Rescue NSW Hazmat crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 488 Shellharbour have received a new Hazmat Vessel (HV) to aide in spillage & hazmat responses in our waterways.

Crews have been training during the past week on Lake Illawarra using their new HV as well as HV468 from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 468 Tweed Heads

Clinton J Down Photography has snagged some great shots too but I picked up just a couple too. Enjoy.

The NEW (to 488, also known as Hazmat 286 in a previous life) Hazmat 488 Bravo "doing some reconnaissance" (my words) with the less than new but recently refurbished Hazmat 488 Alpha down at Bass Point today.

Glorious sun made it a little hard to photograph at times but here are a few of the faves.

P488 (and T488) at a Smell of Smoke/Electric Fire in Shellharbour City yesterday evening. RP207 left as I got there and T207 basically have themselves a Code 2 en route after P488 confirmed sufficient needs.
